Melissa worked with us to create a space that our family can enjoy while helping us select unique, eclectic and timeless pieces. She was always available to offer us options and her expertise as far as what works for each room. Melissa really helped us create the home that we have always wanted.

Melissa was amazing. Without her help and expertise my project would not have turned out as good as it did. Hiring a decorator was the best decision we made. Some contractors say they are "decorators", but they are just glorified sales people. She helped us not only chose colors and tiling, but also configure things we would have never thought to consider. For example: vanity drawers and shower layout. The contractors also tried to push things down that were easy for them. She was able to talk their language and effectively push back, giving us what we wanted. I am very thankful for her services and would highly recommend her for your next project.

We hired Melissa to help us add some style to our new home. She helped us pick out colors to liven up the rooms, she gave us ideas for moldings for crown, base and window trim and did some artistic painting and design for our kids rooms. I had the pleasure of working with Melissa Roche at Parlor 430 Design Studio. She is incredibly responsive via email and provides thoughtful suggestions. My husband and I moved from a one-bedroom apartment to a 4-bedroom house and I felt totally overwhelmed with respect to decorating. There are thousands of paint colors and Melissa helped us to narrow down paint colors to about 10 key colors. The one we used to paint the majority of our house, Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray, is a color we receive countless compliments on! Picking furniture and thinking about fabrics also felt like a challenge. Can you mix leather and fabric furniture in one room? I learned that for us the answer was yes and part of that answer, regarding the type of fabric, was informed by the fact that we have 2 dogs and the potential wear and tear that may take place. This is the level of detail and thoughtfulness you will receive with Melissa.

I recently worked with Melissa to complete an eye sore wall in our living room. She was amazing at figuring out what worked, fit my budget and gave me the feel and design I have been looking for in a space that my family spends every day. She also offered a lot of small, simple touches to really make certain rooms pop. On top of the desing skills, i received great customer service from everyone at Parlor 430 inlcuding the contractors! Can't wait to work with Parlor 430 again!
