Joni assisted me in the interior re-design of an 1894 Victorian home. She advised me and made recommendations regarding window treatments, floor coverings, (both carpet and tile), paint choices, furniture recovering, linens choices, lighting choices, and other furnishing decisions. She recommended great professionals to do the work and great products. My renovation seemed overwhelming but Joni made it happen. She helped me create my dream home.

Joni and her team are a pleasure to work with and transformed my house into a beautiful home! I've used her services for our past three homes and our son's first apartment. She has a true gift for color, scale and balance. I love everything she's created for us and appreciate her sensitivity to my budget.

Joni Essis Gildea has designed the interior of my 1850 home with historical accuracy, charm and updated style. Her work could easily be shown and published in any magazine exhibiting home decor and furnishings. Joni uses exquisite fabrics, talented artists, and high end materials that provide an amazing portrayal of tasteful designs that not only function as comfort, but also create a feel of ambiance and personalized space. She is always professional and on time for appointments and an absolute pleasure to work with.

Joni Essis Gildea worked very hard (and very successfully) with us to bring our home into the 21st century, and we are so grateful for her expertise. She has a real flair for using colors to brighten rooms, and I must confess that every time I walk into our home, I now smile. Choosing paint and wallpaper is something that neither my husband nor I can do well. Above and beyond that, Joni was very willing to work with what we have in terms of furniture; we were not pressured to change upholstery (thank goodness!) or even pieces of furniture (thank goodness again!). She is talented, conscientious, and punctual, and the end result is stunning. Both my husband and I are very impressed with Joni's ability to organize her project approach. The painter was here when she told us he would appear; measurements for wallpaper were absolutely correct; she came with the painter and together they modified one of the room plans to make it even nicer than the original plan.. Having worked with disorganized designers, it is a pleasure to work with one who comes on time and brings details and samples that are nearly assembled for our review. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciated her thoroughness. Joni also has an enviable sense of style, which she translates into her decorating and designing ideas. Also important to us, Joni worked within our budget and did not put pressure on us to exceed it. If we ever decide to any more modifications in our home, the only person I will ever call is Joni. We cannot praise her enough for the transformation that she created in our home.

I needed replacement window treatments and decided on Hunter Douglas Architella Elan blinds. The bid came in a thousand dollars less then another company for the exact same product. I have worked with Jan before and she is very helpful and experienced. She listened to my concerns regarding energy efficiency in my passive solar home and took measurements for my future projects to keep on file. As always working with Essis and Sons Carpets was a great experience and a great value.
