I had never used an interior designer before. I was lucky to pick Julie (actually through Houzz). We had recently bought our home and loved it because it was not a cookie cutter style. However, that brings with it the necessity that Julie be able to work with the quirky characteristics we wanted to keep but update and bring it all together with a cohesiveness. Not an easy task. Julie listened to us, gave us great recommendations, and was not offended if we decided against certain suggestions or made some suggestions ourselves. Our personalities jived as we are both honest and direct people. Bottom line, Julie’s goal is to be sure her clients are happy. My husband and I both recommend Julie Cooper as a designer. We will be using her for further projects.

Julie’s been a godsend. One gets the feeling she genuinely wants us to be happy with our home improvements, while not spending more than is needed. For instance, her offer to have one of our meetings at a flooring store was helpful and a timesaver, not to mention my selections were more affordable than if I had shopped around myself. She’s patient, reliable, thorough and has a wealth of expertise, especially around color. Her honesty when she feels something won’t work is refreshing, too. We’ve focused on the kitchen and sunroom, but I’ve appreciated the thoughtful suggestions she’s offered for the exterior as well. She's made our remodel journey smarter and smoother.

The majority of our time working with Julie was during COVID bringing about many external challenges out of Julie’s control. Julie communicated well and was very honest during this difficult time. Her honesty was what I appreciated the most - she only promised what she could and delivered on them. Working with Julie and being open about our likes and dislikes resulted in a beautiful and quality master bathroom. We then continued working with Julie to update our living room with new furniture and decor. It’s beautiful and functional.

I first contacted Julie 4-5 years ago for a color consultation. I wanted to add color to my very beige house. Her color expertise and decorating ideas were invaluable. It was such a enjoyable experience that I have continued to request help with updates to my older home. Julie has suggested beautiful colors, furniture styles, hardware and lighting that I would not have thought of or found on my own. My budget and the function of items were never forgotten. Julie is so enjoyable to work with - I highly recommend her for any project!

Julie Cooper is a very professional, well thought out designer. We contacted her looking for one project and she first asked for our budget so that she could plan accordingly. She came up with a creative plan and stayed within our planned spending. She also put us in contact with reasonable subcontractors and we got a fancy new kitchen - even during this crazy year or supply shortages and delays.

We moved from a 100-year-old home where we had lived for more than 30 years to a mid-century modern house that needed some work in another part of the country. We needed to identify reliable contractors to upgrade the house, decide how much of our old furniture should be replaced, and readjust our tastes to match the age and style of the house. The renovation was extensive and took quite a long time, due in part to Covid lockdowns. It was stressful, it was complicated, and we needed a lot of help. Julie came up trumps for all of our needs. She is highly experienced, knows the area well, has excellent connections with contractors and vendors, and was very calming, patient, and attentive to our needs, our stress levels, and our budget. I recommend her highly and would not hesitate to use her services again, for projects large or small.

Julie was so awesome to work with! We replaced our kitchen countertop and backsplash and after seeing our kitchen and cupboards, Julie made the perfect countertop and splash recommendations. We absolutely love it and are so glad we consulted with her for this investment. She also provided amazing advice on paint colors and décor. Julie has a great style and I highly recommend her! I’ll look forward to work with her again!
