(We also serve the needs of builders, remodelers, and professional painters.) Your design consultant, Laurie or Julia, will come right to your home or project site. They each have a creative and practical approach and give inspired ideas specific to YOUR home. Visualizing and choosing the perfect paint colors and putting it all together is our passion. Let's save you the stress and money of making a costly mistake. We specialize in visualizing a new look for exteriors and interiors. We have an hourly rate, so you can bring us in on any color or design decision, as often or as little as you need. You'll have so much more fun with your project when you know you are in good hands and can move forward on each decision with excitement and confidence! Most consultations take just two hours or less! $180.00/hr.

When I wanted to refresh my family room decor, Laurie did a great job of coming up with ways to use color that I would never have thought of. She also quickly gave me suggestions for accent pieces, complete with links to examples. I've also used her and Julia to help me review carpet samples and pick just the right color for my living room, and again they gave me ideas and links to accent ideas to freshen the look. Her business model of charging by the hour makes these mini consultations very affordable.

I have hired this service 3 or 4 times now, so I feel very qualified to write a review. I like this service because when planning a remodeling project, it can be very hard to visualize the finished project (especially in a bathroom) and make the right choices and they help me to do that. They help me to avoid making costly mistakes and having regrets after the project is completed. They think of things that would never have occurred to me and sometimes, very small touches make a huge impact. They also work with what I have instead of persuading me to spend lots of money and insisting that everything must be new. Best of all, they write up a plan with all of the materials and colors I chose so that I don't have to remember which paint color in which finish went where. For me, this service is well worth the money.

I contacted Laurie and Julia. They came out very quickly and assessed my project and my personality for what I wanted to do at our home. They were on the spot consultants providing pictures as we went along. I purchased the counter top the same day. The counter to has since been installed, two pendant lights added above our island. Two additional light fixtures by our front door and dining room were added as well. Paint and kitchen backsplash happened this week. It looks fantastic! I would not have had the confidence to get this project through as quickly as it happened as well as feeling good about the purchases. I highly recommend them. They are professional, courteous and no-nonsense out of respect for our time.

I was referred to Laurie and Julia by my friend Diane. She told me I would love them, and I did. I had never used design services before so I was a little anxious about doing so. I can say that I was awed by the outcome of working with Laurie and Julia. My husband and I purchased a condo and were leaving a home that we had lived in for almost 30 years. We had done a lot of remodeling to get things just as we like, so starting from scratch with an entirely different layout felt overwhelming. From the start, Laurie and Julia were open and informative of how they work. After asking me questions, they went to work. They then presented, explained and showed the reasoning behind the color choices and to my amazment the "feeling of home" came alive. Having their assistance made an overwhelming project very enjoyable and exciting. And they share in the excitement which makes it very supportive. My husband even commented that "this would have taken us days to pick colors." I highly recommend their services in making an overwhelming project unfold with ease.

Julia figured out how to solve a puzzle. I love color and wanted to repaint my dining room utilizing colors that remind me of of my home state of California. I started out, the project evolved…I loved the wall color but the accent color in the built-in shelves was not working. Julia gave me the idea to tone down the accent just a bit…instead of a blue to evoke the ocean, a yellow to evoke the sand (the painting we pulled colors from is a landscape/coast of Carmel)

I worked with Julia of Laurie Lundgren COLOR & DESIGN in early October. I was referred to them via New View Painting. Julia was able to get out to my house promptly to review the current colors and assist with selecting a total new look for the space. I wasn't really sure I needed a color consultant - but figured it couldn't hurt - knowing that I could always switch up any color choices if I wanted. Well, needless to say - I went with Julia's suggestions. Julia asked me lots of questions and took what I said into account. She also coordinated the white wood trim with the color design. I was looking for a calming change. The colors she recommended provide that exact experience for me every time I walk into the rooms. Julia provided me with a detailed design sheet with all the paint information. I would definitely hire them again. The colors previously in the rooms shown were Terracotta and dark gold) -- Julia's suggestions totally brighten up the space.

Julia was my person and she took wonderful care of me. I was surprised at how quickly the process went and though we're still a work in progress, I could NOT be more pleased. SO much brighter and toned down the gold of the oak. Still a work in progress (like the rug, etc...)

Laurie and Jules are, "color magicians." They walk you through every detail of color selection, design choices, furniture placement, whatever you need. Working with what you have, they make everything work seamlessly together. Their ideas are fresh, cohesive, and well executed. When in doubt-projects big or small-call the experts! I would recommend them without hesitation.

Laurie and Julia helped us make a monumental life changing move, incorporating two houses of sentimental pieces and memories into a new home, new start and for a phenomenal job. They went through each of our homes, taking time to get to know dip we were in each and who we were becoming in our new life together. They assisted us in choosing existing pieces from each home, then meeting at our new place to choose colors, themes, home decor and furniture pieces in the winter of 2023. Then Julia visited us again to assist with colors in our now finished lower level. We couldn’t be happier with all of our choices and their help!
