LR Design Studio

I engaged LR Design Studio to assist me in planning our basement remodel layout. She put together a great plan and helped me with ideas regarding lighting, furniture layout and even the ceiling type. She even met with our contractor with me and assisted in explaining the plan to him. I was very pleased with her services and would definitely use her again!

Lindsey helped update our Brecksville, OH house without me even being there! It was a great setup (and could have been little nerve wrecking) but it worked out perfect and my husband and I were pleased with the results! We were living in Florida and relocating back to Ohio and wanted house updated so we could move right in. She arranged and picked out everything and we worked virtually through houzz and her presentation (and of course many phone conversations). She's very easy to work with and accommodating and really picks out stuff according to house and budget. The house is more traditional, but she knew what needed to be done to 'update' it. She understood when I said 'lets do whats good for resell-able value of the house'. We updated kitchen without going overboard on budget, repainted $4K sq ft, installed hardwood flooring, updated lighting fixtures and fireplace, and went over furniture plans. She brought us a peace of mind we wouldn't have had if we tried doing ourselves.

Lindsey of LR Design Studio was creative and insightful, bringing ideas to the design project for my home that spoke to my individual style. She also understood the direction I wanted to go with my business and came up with ideas that fit within my budget.

We worked with Lindsey on a remodel of our first floor and couldn't be happier. We met with 3 design/builders before selecting Lindsey. I had been trying to come up with a design myself for about a year, but couldn't make the space work. I knew we wanted to open the kitchen and dining room to create one big space. All of the early designs were having the same problem - a bigger space, but still not a lot of counter or storage space (the remaining walls all had doors and windows making it hard to place a long counter). Lindsey brought us a brand new and very creative idea - she flipped the kitchen and dining room spaces. Putting the stove, sink, and fridge in the space that had been the dining room. We added an island for more counter space. The original kitchen side provides more counter space, tons of new storage and space for a big, but more casual built in bench and dining table. We also opened the new kitchen to an existing family room addition by taking down a brick wall that used to be the exterior of the house. We added a couple of support columns and it looks so open and clean. Now the whole first floor flows beautifully room to room. In addition to the overall design layout, Lindsey was incredibly helpful with selecting products, colors, finishes. It's hard for me to picture what something will look like, I need to see a drawing or photo (the reason I love Houzz so much, great photos!). I liked taking her my ideas and knowing she would give me honest feedback with an explanation. For example, my husband picked out a black silgranit sink. I wanted a white porcelain sink. Lindsey knew the black would look better and she explained why. Even though I couldn't "see" it, I trusted her to know how it would turn out - and she was right, it looks great. She went with us to select all of our products - the stone counters, plumbing supply store, tile store, and lighting store. She brought samples of our products so I could see how things would look together. She never just said what I wanted to hear and I appreciated that she wouldn't let me make bad selections. Her insights helped steer our decisions and that's exactly the kind of help I wanted. The design of our new first floor was Lindsey's creation and we are so happy with how it turned out!

Lindsey has helped me with two of my homes in Redding, Ca., and one in Napa, Ca. She provided me with fabric samples and designed bedding, pillows, beautiful table runners with great detailed borders of trim and patterns. She helped me select two headboards and had beautiful fabric for me to choose from. With her great eye for color, scale and texture, all of my pieces are really lovely and I will continue to enjoy them for a very long time. Lindsey is energetic, fun to be around and extremely gifted in her chosen field. Were she still residing in California, I would continue with her design firm exclusively. Also of interest, she always kept me in the loop for completion as well as budget. Very thoughtful.

After 5 years of just talking about what I'd like to do to my house that I was semi-content living in, Lindsey made my dreams reality. She remodeled my dining room (colors, lightening and collage of mirrors and frames), kitchen (countertop, painting, plumbing and new faucet) and also fixed up my 2nd bathroom that I have always loathed. She knows how to work within any budget and she makes jobs that seem unimaginable look easy. Lindsey is a seemingly endless well of knowledge about electrical, plumbing, tiles, paint colors... I don't know where to end this list because nothing has ever come up in conversation in which she hasn't had at least some experience. She has the knowledge and skill to make a house a house but also the magic eye to make a house a home. She is a pleasure and joy to work with and I'm so grateful to have met her. I love coming home and am not ashamed, but excited to have people over now. Thanks Lindsey.
