Kathleen was so terrific. She started with getting to know my goals, colors, style. She allowed me to have final say in everything. I just loved how we connected on everything. One of the really important interaction was if I disagreed with her suggestions she just said ok, let's not do that. She really understood what I was trying to accomplish. I so appreciated that there was no pressure or timeframe, this allowed me to take my time and accomplish the final results. I felt like I was on HGTV because when everything was ready to put together I had to leave the house and come back later for an amazing reveal. From day 1 Kathleen was so amazing, even when we had doubts about how things were going to turn out. She would appease our fears. She guided us throughout the whole process. She dealt with the contractors and made the process so much less stressful. We would have been lost trying to do this whole house remodel without her knowledge and expert advise. My husband & I retired in Texas & moved o New Mexico 3 years ago. We built a home in a retirement area south of Albuquerque, called Jubilee (Los Lunas). But something was wrong. We are beyond thrilled with the results of our project. We walked in the front door on "reveal day" and my jaw dropped! We now love our main living area and how it ties in with the rest of our home. Kathleen Martinez is truly gifted - do not hesitate to hire her for your project no matter how big or small. She is truly amazing. Our job included: paint and wall texture in 3 areas, redesign a fireplace, add stacked stone and a mantel, add lighting and accessorize the space, rehang art work on different walls to enhance the overall look. We have recommended her to two close friends and will continue to do so. PERFECT! WE LOVE IT!

I had a wonderful experience working with Martinez Interiors. Kathleen did a fantastic job with a renovation of a property intended to rent. She has a very keen eye for design and was able to put together a plan very quickly. On top of that she was able to find contractors that were able to get the job done in shorter time than originally quoted and ON BUDGET! Communication was key through the project, and although I was not in-state she kept me up to date with photos and daily updates. She also was able to incorporate additional requests as things came to mind, or came up on the task list. Thanks to Kathleen, the investment property is up to par and above standards. It is a pleasure to work a second time in a different house with Martinez Interiors. Seven years ago we chose new hardwood flooring, furniture and accessories for a Southwestern style home, and it turned out beautifully. We started in this "new" house with a color consultation, bringing together the kitchen and den and we will continue throughout the home. As an accomplished artist, Kathleen's sense of color is superb. It's exciting to begin a new vision for this home that we will be able to enjoy for years to come.

Was looking for a Interior Designer to help us with the interior of our home. We relocated to New Mexico in 2018 and started working with another Designer, which was the biggest mistake ever! As I started researching other designers, I came across Kathleen Martinez, Martinez Interiors. I read about her company, experience, specialities, and also noted that she staged homes, worked with other designers to transform/redesign homes, and then noted she had received awards from HOUZZ several years in a row. I knew she would be a match for our needs because HOUZZ is my go-to site for ideas and inspiration. Made contact with Kathleen, she set an appointment within that week and we were off and running! She has such a fabulous sense of getting to know people and what their style is (even when I wasn't’ sure anymore) and being a great listener. The next week she was back with our idea book, information to validate the direction we wanted to go, and her recommendations on where to start. It all came together and Kathleen really knew us and what we wanted. That process started in July, work began August 12, 2019 and finished September 14, 2019 ! The entire inside of our home was completely repainted, fireplace redesigned, lighting replaced, hardware and fixtures upgraded, along with beautiful decorating. It was everything we could have ever wanted and it definitely feels like us! Kathleen has a team of expert painters, contractors and other professionals that have the same work ethics, vision and high standards that she has, and it shows on the final product. Kathleen keeps track and manages every aspect of the project resulting in quality work and time lines met. We feel so blessed to have been able to work with Kathleen and I am already working on a list for Phase 2 !

Kathleen has a real talent that allows her to get to know her clients and then guide the project to fit what the client will like. She was spot on!!

Prior to closing on my new house, I first met with Kathleen about bringing in a crew to clean the house after it closed. After it closed and the cleaning crews did a great job cleaning the house, I decided to change the paint colors in areas other than the bedrooms and bathrooms as well as replace flooring in the living room and entry. With only ~4 days to come up with a design, Kathleen started with a paint scheme which was a great start but after 4 days of working with each other, we had a design that sounded great but in reality it was WOW when it was complete. Besides the paint and the flooring, Kathleen placed all my furnishings as well as brought in some other furnishings that really complemented what I already have. Martinez Interiors and the sub-contractors used were professional, handled changes well and the end results are beyond anything I could have possibly done myself. Costs were about what I figured including the costs for the additional furnishings that I did choose to keep and the quality is very good.

In November, we contracted Kathleen assist with remodeling our fireplace. Of course, we wanted to project completed before the Christmas Holidays. Not only did she find a contractor to do the work, she also searched for the perfect stacked stone to coordinate with our decor. She brought us samples to review, which was time saving for us. The fireplace looks absolutely beautiful. It is the focal point of the entire home. When the project was completed, she suggested she do a make-over on the entire room. I really couldn’t see how she could change much as the room is limited in size. Boy, was I wrong! All through separate rooms, she staged the living, dining and den. She re-arranged the furniture and added a few finishing touches. Voila! Our entire living area looked totally different, bringing to me tears. The end result was stunning!

I am amazed by the office space Martinez Interiors designed for me. Each of the people in my office has a space that not only reflects their personal likes, but is functional and beautiful. Even though each office and restroom is unique, and we each have a different style, she was able to tie it all together into one cohesive space. She also found us very reliable contractors and cost effective solutions. I will use her exclusively on future projects! I welcome anyone who is considering her to stop by and look at my space.
