Mindful Living By Design

Jeanette helped with our whole house remodel. I was completely clueless on what to do and her expertise was critical in me not making mistakes. Simple things like knowing I would want pull out sliders in the kitchen to creative decisions on how to design the bathroom tile in each bathroom to make sure it looked the best. She knew where to save money and where NOT to cut corners. We would have been lost without her wisdom and talent. The house is now for sale and it looks spectral because of her design choices. I simply can’t recommend her highly enough. She is also down to earth and never made me feel stupid for being designed challenge. She has beautiful taste and cared about how things functioned and not just how they looked.

Jeanette is a very talented designer who helped me to source beautiful items for my home at very reasonable price points. One of the things I love about working with Jeanette is her focus on understanding her clients design goals and working flexibly to meet them. She is a gem!

In 1999, we built a custom home. Jeannette Patterson worked with my husband and I to finalize all of our flooring (carpet, hardwood, marble), granite in kitchen, marble layout in all of our bathrooms, cabinets and hardware throughout the home. Our home was 5800 sq. ft. and there was a lot of coordination that needed to be done. Jeanette was fabulous to work with coordinating our entire home so it flowed seamlessly (she also was a part-time referee with me and my husband!). Throughout the years, I have used Jeanette to purchase furniture, window coverings and custom bedding. 15 years later, I am still using her to purchase more furniture. She is highly qualified, had a great eye and able to pick up on your style quickly. She goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are happy.

For several years, Jeanette Patterson has been my Interior Designer of choice. She has completed major design/ remodel projects including 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room and bedroom. She has a unique ability to translate my ideas, concepts and idiosyncrasies about color, balance, etc. into a design esthetic that both delights and amazes me. "Yes", I think to myself, "that's what I was trying to convey!" Currently, she is completing a bedroom update/ transformation: From "my mother's room", To a guest room/ boudoir. The room is 220 sq feet plus a 6x6 closet. The project includes new queen sized bed and bedding, lighting, closet makeover, sitting area, wall décor, etc. Her recommendations about the floor design have resulted in an open yet cozy feel to the space. She leveraged the existing wall color and patterned valance but created a fresh new look and feel. Specific design elements that Jeanette included to create the "boudoir" effect are: chandelier in the closet, large mirror in the closet, serene feel to the artwork on the walls. She is particular about the positioning of furniture ("we don't want a bowling alley feel") and is quite skilled at finding the right accessories to complement the design, e.g. the table lamp that she found has a blown glass effect at the base. She swapped the shade for one with better texture and a softer color - another nod to the boudoir. This project design is about 75% complete and I am already experiencing the benefits. The closet feels like an extension of the room so it is ok to leave the door ajar, or wide open. The room is warm and inviting, not frilly. I love it! As with other projects completed by Jeanette Patterson, I know that his one will stand the test of time. Expectations exceeded!

This was a whole house remodel. Ms. Patterson advised on paint colors, furniture shopping, selection and upholstery, rugs and window coverings as well as accessories. This was a blank slate and we can't overestimate the knowledge and experience that was necessary to pull the entire project together. She has vast experience on where to shop for products that fit our style and handled the ordering with ease. Ms. Patterson was easy to work with because she understood our priorities and our budget. She had no difficulty meeting deadlines or answering our numerous questions. She saved us time and certainly money. We were really happy with the results and would not hesitate to use her again.

We worked with Jeanette on a living room/dining room project. Jeanette's extensive knowledge of products and great aesthetic sense were invaluable to the success of our project. She was able to take our vision of the look and function of the space, combine it with her expertise in space planning, and create a beautiful, timeless area that we continue to enjoy! We look forward to working with her again on future projects!

Jeanette worked with us on several projects. Not only did she do a wonderful job on our bedroom and sitting room, but assisted the architect who was doing our master bath. We were so pleased with her work that when we remodeled our kitchen a few years later, we used Jeanette and her contractor instead of a kitchen specialist. The result was what we feel is a stunningly beautiful kitchen.
