I have worked with Sarah for over a year on a large project which she has made both fun and hugely productive. Either we share similar tastes in styles, or she has been very good at sensing mine and adjusting accordingly. She has a very diplomatic way of steering one away from what might prove to be regrettable choices, yet has been great about exploring any and all of my ideas. Definitely no pressure to make purchases from any particular source, with our overall design plan being the ultimate goal. She's really great fun to work with.

We initially hired her to remodel a property in Chautauqua Institution and then have sought her assistance in every subsequent project, all of which have been in other areas of the country. 'Sarah completed two projects for our house and did a great job on both of them. One project was a bathroom remodel and the other one was new carpeting, drapes, chair reupholstered and new living room furniture. We hired Sarah to help us with furnishing our living area in our home. She spent time getting to know us, and figure out our tastes and styles. She designed our area PERFECTLY. Sarah is a consummate professional. We asked her for help with window treatments for a second floor study and third floor bedrooms. She arrived with books containing many beautiful choices and was a knowledgeable guide in helping me to decide what would work best in these rooms. Her attention to detail and understanding of my design choices throughout the entire house brought me to some final decisions about the window treatments that, now installed, blend beautifully with the rooms themselves and the house as a whole. I consulted with Sarah about furniture selections that I needed to complete our remodel. I was impressed with Sarah's ability to assess my " likes" and to make further suggestions based upon those "likes." Most of her suggestions turned into easy purchases and I watched our "fixer upper" turn into a lovely home, piece by piece. Sarah is very easy to talk to and she shares her opinion without being "pushy". With that being said, she will tell you if a piece is out of sync with your decorating aesthetic. I appreciate that candor and have been very happy with every selection. Our last project was window treatments. I was unsure of how to handle 20 feet of windows and sliding doors on one wall. With several consultations and a final review to put my mind at ease, we can now sit in our lake room feeling cozy yet still enjoying the view. In addition we window dressed 2 other rooms and are pleased with those results as well. I will continue to rely on Sarah for the final finishing touches. Sarah was with every penny. She truly turned our house into a home. I love how she listened to all of my wants and turned them into an elegant yet comfy home. Sarah is truly talented and has an amazing eye for color, patterns, textures, and gave me ideas I never would have thought of on my own. Her ability to completely transform a space is amazing!! We found Sarah very easy to work with. She had wonderful ideas for us - pulling lots of fabric choices and combinations for us and letting us know why those choices would work in our setting. We also learned from Sarah as to why certain pieces of furniture would or would not work in our setting due to the style of the sofa arms and the style of the legs - two things we never considered. She was also very accepting of our likes and dislikes which gave her lots knowledge as to what we were looking for. All in all, we highly recommend Sarah for your decorating project.
