I can't say enough about Robin Johnson and Urban Interiors. Being new to South Carolina, not knowing the area and needing help buying furniture, Robin jumped right in and I'm so excited with the results. The space looks amazing. When she first came over to look at the house, I didn't know what to expect, but Robin is so warm and friendly, it was like talking with a friend. She asked questions to narrow down what I wanted to do, what colors and style I liked, how much I wanted to spend and the time line. She also made great suggestions. Then she went to work and in a short amount of time, my house was fully functional. She's professional, has great working knowledge of the area, got my project done on time and well within the budget. Without a doubt, I will use her again for my next project.

Building a house from 2 states and 500 miles away is not an easy thing to do but when you have someone like Robin Johnson from Urban Interiors it is almost seamless. We had an initial design consultation with her explaining our tastes and style and what we were looking for. She totally got it. We were going for a SC coastal farmhouse style. She did all of the research and leg work down in SC while we were living in Northern VA. Then through conference calls, emails, and texts she would make selections of various samples of plumbing, lighting, paint, appliances, hardware, etc. and send them to us. Not only did it give us a variety of items to choose from but it minimized the number of trips we had to make up and down I-95 (which was a 7 and 1/2 hour trip). Then we would periodically come down to see our selections in person and were able to visualize our beautiful new home come to life. We had a budget and a timeline and she kept those in mind and kept everything on track. We had no idea how many 100's of decisions had to be made in building a custom home and we have no idea how anyone could do it, especially being so far away, without someone like Robin to guide them. Then when it came time to build she was even able to suggest some builders to interview as she works with several builders in the area. We interviewed 5 and ended up going with 1 that she had suggested. We simply handed him a folder with all of our selections in it, including where to get them from and he went by that. We could not have been happier with him. And then throughout the building project she work closely with our builder and his site superintendent as unexpected things always come up in the building process. And even after our house was complete and we had moved in, she helped us with rug selections, an upholstery job and a few other design things within our home. She was totally awesome, knowledgeable and professional as well as very easy to work with.

We hired Urban Interiors for two design packages, a guest bath and home office space. Robin listened attentively to our needs for each space and was able to give us a custom look to elevate the spaces. She responded in a timely manner to any questions we thought of, and was easy to get in touch with via email or phone. We felt that she balanced her design expertise/experience while incorporating our own ideas into each room. We highly recommend Urban Interiors to anyone. The process was fun!

Robin is a delight to work with. Her design knowledge is spot on and she has both repurposed and transformed tired old spaces into refreshing, beautiful new living areas in our home. We would not want to be remodeling without her talent and direction. Having worked with a number of design/decorating specialists in many locations, we have not found many that 'listen' or take a homeowners opinion into account. Robin balances that relationship perfectly. She always incorporates our ideas into her designs and guides our choices with deference to her expertise and our preferences. Robin is extremely reliable and efficient as well. She is vested in our projects just as much as we are, and that makes for a beautiful result! Additionally, she is respectful of budget, and although we have exceeded our original budget plans, it is a result of our choices entirely. Robin always brings multiple quotes and selections to the table for our consideration. She's tops in her field!

Robin was easy to work with and always ready to discuss ideas. She was ready to think outside of the box, while being in-touch with what was important to me. Great experience.

Robin has been a valuable resource and design guide for me throughout our construction process. She is prompt with responses to my questions or on-site issues. We hired Robin with Urban Interiors when we moved into our new home and needed help with inspiration and furnishing in our living spaces. Robin did an impeccable job at meshing both my husband’s and my desires for the living spaces. We needed child friendly and pet friendly fabric and furnishings, and Robin delivered. She was also very aware of our budget and was able to complete the project within the budget we set. I could not have created these beautiful spaces the way she did without her vision and help. We hope to use Robin for future spaces in our home!

We had a great experience with Robin. She came to our house and spent some time with us to get a real understanding of what we wanted. We spent about $11,000 I believe. Back in 2014. Forgive the Easter decorations and all the birthday cards on the mantle. We had a red sandstone hearth to the ceiling and Robin helped us design and change that. Forgive the carpet covering the beautiful brick, we have some little children running around and must be safety minded. Also the hanging art we picked out. Robin is very good at her craft.

I am a local custom builder and I must say it's always a pleasure to work with Robin. Her sweet personality and awesome design skills make her one of the best designers in our area! I love to work with her and you will too!

Robin first met with us so we could each understand the scope of her work and what we were looking for to make sure we were a match. We were very upfront and honest with her in what we needed and didn't need and she was upfront and honest with us as well. In my opinion, the client and professional need to make sure you're honest with one another upfront so there are no gray areas. Robin did this. She brought her expectations and contract and everything was clear from her end and ours. She was pleasant to work with and very professional. She was very knowledgeable and helped us to seek a direction when we weren't always clear with what we wanted. When we worked together, I felt she made the best use of our time and kept the project flowing in a forward direction. Robin was great at being mindful of our budget and paying attention to what we wanted for our home and helped us achieve that. She did not push her ways or designs on us and was there to help make great choices. She was a wonderful asset as we decided paint colors, tile choices and granite. I would highly recommend her.

Robin has helped me over the last year in a remodeling project on our formal 1930's home. My goal in general was to update our living room, and decorate a master bedroom, closet and bathroom addition, as well as redo upstairs bathrooms. Her expertise has been invaluable in selecting fabrics, furniture, tile, light fixtures, paint colors, and much more. She is highly skilled at rendering computerized visuals that have been very helpful and is always organized. I have found her easy to work with. She has been amazing in helping me blend in old family furniture and favorites..
