Soucy Interiors

I began work with Lorraine Soucy on a phased renovation and redecorating of my home in July 2014. Our first phase has encompassed a major lighting overhaul in every space of my three-level loft condo, painting/patching, and small furniture purchases. Our next phase will encompass bathroom renovations and eventually an entire kitchen overhaul. Lorraine and I spoke via phone and she scheduled a visit at my home, where she spent over an hour getting to know me and what I was looking for. Her warmth and demonstration of a clear understanding of what I wanted to create and what my budget was, made choosing her an easy decision. Lorraine brought in expert electricians and painters to make my home look absolutely spectacular. Every choice of lighting fixture and chandelier was perfect. She has created exactly what I wanted - a charming, romantic and warm home that makes me happy to live in. While I was considering selling quickly after the renovations were complete, now I plan to continue our work so I can love where I live again.

Lorraine is my "go to gal" for everything from color consultations to my total kitchen renovation. Couldn't have gotten through all of it without her. I will continue to use her, she's got a great eye and she's a lot of fun to work with!

Lorraine Soucy transformed a small, drab, nondescript spare bedroom in our home into a serene, sophisticated space that functions as both a home office and a guest room. Her ability to intersperse colors, patterns, and furnishings together with personal and one of a kind accessories results in transformational eye-catching designs. She tied in my lampshades and found a metal/iron scroll and mirror with similar raised trim. Because of our love for music and New Orleans, she incorporated many pieces of artwork and books that we already had. She's very good at mixing existing and new pieces to complete a look. Lorraine is cost-conscious and is able to find high quality pieces at lower market prices. Lorraine takes the time to offer options and reviews the pros and cons so you are comfortable with your decisions. We lost our home to a house fire and rebuilt this past fall. I hired Lorraine Soucy as a project manager and interior designer. Lorraine worked directly with my contractor on every detail of the house from design to decorating. She took the time to get to know me and my family in order to make the house our home. She worked within our budget, went shopping with me when I requested and without me when I was on a time constraint. Building, designing, renovating, and decorating can be overwhelming and Lorraine made this project an enjoyable one. The paint colors she chose created a warm environment and the furniture she picked out with me is comfortable and classy. Lorraine did as much or as little as I needed. She kept track of receipts, tracked orders and checked in on workers. She treated my house like it was her own and took great pride in her work. She designed, decorated and furnished our 3400 square foot home in three months. My family is happy and we love having company over to enjoy our home with us.
