I seeked Cara out after looking through several designers’ portfolios in my area. I loved Cara’s style and aesthetic. I found her to be responsive, professional, and able to meet a quick turnaround time. After I answered some questions, she came back with inspiration boards that were exactly what I was looking for. From there, we picked out paint colors for my entire house and she made a stressful process easy and enjoyable. I would love to work with her again in the future. I highly recommend her!

My husband and I wanted to update the look and feel of our kitchen but felt a little overwhelmed. First, we tried an app but we didn't like any of their ideas or looks, it felt so impersonal. Then we found Cara of Stanton Home Design and couldn't be happier! Working with Cara turned out to be the best decision we made. To start, we had to refinish and stain all our hardwood floors. Cara was present to help select the precise color stain we wanted while the samples were being painted on our actual floor. Next, Cara showed us multiple colors for our cabinets. She had us wait and see the colors we were between in different lighting and in different times of the day. She showed me many different options for the room from a design standpoint. Cara sent me different looks and feels for the new cabinet hardware. Once we decided which hardware would compliment the room, she ordered it herself. She gave us different creative options for replacing the old stained glass in a few of the cabinets and we ended up going with a beautiful mesh she found for us. We agreed we wanted the kitchen update to be timeless and nothing too trendy. From there, we found countertops and a backsplash. Cara was an amazing help picking out the new countertops. She came with me to two different countertop companies. She worked with our contractor and had great ideas about where the backsplash would stop. Cara helped find the right accent lighting, counter height stools, new built in garbage can system, kitchen sink, area rugs, kitchen shelving decor and new pillows for the living room. She really takes extra steps to help the entire project come together. She styled the kitchen shelves in a new hutch that was built with family heirlooms that we cherish as well as new pieces. She helped us find the best and most beautiful new faucet! As you can imagine, it can be very overwhelming and she really helped guide us in the right direction while keeping the price manageable. She takes your ideas and really brings it all to fruition. Working with Cara was truly an enjoyable experience. She is knowledgeable in not only what works or looks good, but with plumbing, electrical and so many other home specific areas where we were a bit lost. My husband and I debated updating the family room but were on the fence. Once we saw Cara’s initial design concept it was a no brainer, she nailed it. New paint, window treatments that she ordered, removing old built in speakers and updating the television setup. Cara kept coming up with such simple things to change or tweak, things we had never noticed in our own home, but her changes improved the room drastically. We were always excited when Cara sent us her concepts because we knew they were going to be amazing. She truly has a gift. **In the pictures this is not the correct faucet. We are waiting on the plumber to come install the Kohler Studio McGee faucet.

Highly recommended, she has done a wonderful job with our house. We always get compliments. On the design whenever we have friends and family over. It has definitely improve the value of our property..
