E Star Home

We used E Star to do a home renovation earlier this year. It was a horrible experience but was willing to not write an honest review until the latest issue. We had E Star install a bathroom fan in our upstairs bathroom, but it was not until months later that we discovered that the did not vent it outside but rather right into the attic, causing mold. We asked E Star to either come in to fix or reimburse us the cost of fixing the ducting, not even the cost of the mold remediation. They have been unwilling to do either to this point. A short list of some of the other issues that occurred during the job: - cabinets delivered with the incorrect colour, causing them to have to hand paint some of the fixtures. Not only did they do an extremely poor job at this, they allowed the paint to drip all over the floor. - vinyl flooring installed directly on unlevelled subfloor with no underlayment, no correction until several escalations. - no dust control whatsoever, no attempt to limit dust to areas that were being worked on causing is to manually clean all of our personal belongings ourselves. - no post job clean up done until requested, cleaning was done poorly even afterwards. - constant delays and differing timelines depending on who you asked. A poor experience from start to finish, I would advise anyone looking to work with E Star to look elsewhere.
