My husband and I hired Joe Grande of Grande Wood Design to make custom cabinets for our daylight basement. He assisted us with a design and function we could afford. I was able to choose the color with a sample and the result was awesome! He had many hardware samples to choose from and I am happy with how well they match the style I was looking for. My husband and I recently purchased our “dream” retirement home and set about to personalize it for the way we live. We spend a lot of time at our computers and wanted a space together in the same office; however, the office space was too small for two separate desks and did not have enough space for storing files. Additionally, I had always dreamed of library shelves with a movable ladder which was a tall order for a restricted space. Joe Grande at Grande Wood Designs customized a solution that was both elegant and functional. He made a double desk that sits in the middle of the room and placed file drawers under a window seat. The project came in on time for a fair price with quality and beauty far exceeding our expectations. In our living room, I wanted lighted shelves built on either side of the fireplace to showcase our art collection. I also wanted these shelves to house a large screen TV that could be hidden from view when not being used. Joe Grande built the beautiful shelves shown below with a “pop-up” TV that is controlled with a remote. Finally, a guilty little pleasure was having Joe Grande customize a closet organizer for my jewelry. This solution takes up little space and has mirrors on both sides of the door. We worked with Joe 6 years ago when we built a house in Nevada City. He designed and built our office, completely custom to my husband's needs. He also built the entertainment center which is the centerpiece of the family room. We have since sold that house and built another. Joe designed and built our kitchen and bath cabinets, I couldn't be happier, they are beautiful. I'm hoping to see pics of my new house on Houzz! It was great working with Joe, Edwina, and Greg. Now we will see Joe about and entertainment center, mirrors to go with the bath cabinets, and a custom closet set up.

Joe Grande and his team of professionals designed, built and installed a wall to wall china hutch in our home. Their professionalism in meeting with my wife and I to develop the design the china hutch was high caliber as was the quality of their work.

During the design process of the new location of the Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center I asked my contractor for a referral to a local cabinet maker that would be able to build a very large custom multi-purpose point of sale desk for the Grass Valley Visitors Center. He directed me to Grande Wood Designs, a firm that has operated in Grass Valley for close to 30 years, and has built its reputation on precision craftsmanship and professional integrity. Joe completely understood my concept, and using elements incorporated in the display cabinetry as illustration, made suggestions that refined the design and upgraded the functionality of the unique point of sale desk. The project was completed and installed on time, and finished product exceeded my expectations.

Joe did our Kitchen in Penn Valley, Did a great design,to the time, not just out of the box. Great work, pro install, no problemo's at all. I would recommend,to anyone that knows a quality job. His work was done on time,mine was not.

Great place for fun, original gifts, nice workmanship and friendly people. Closet organizers look great, thats my next project, and then mabey onto the kitchen for quality workmanship.
