Joan DesCombes Kitchen Design

Drawing on her experience in design, fashion, and international culture, Joan DesCombes knows the importance of designing a living space that reflects the taste and lifestyle of each individual client. Joan’s work appears frequently in major consumer and trade publications, and she is regarded internationally as a leader in interior kitchen design. In 2010, Joan became a back-to-back First Place Regional Winner of the Sub Zero Kitchen Design Contest. She was also awarded the Designer of the Year title for the National Kitchen and Bath Associations’ (NKBA) Pinnacle of Design Award in 2008. Most recently, Joan was the designer of the Outdoor Living Space exhibition and a key speaker at the 2012 International Coverings Show. Prior to obtaining a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School for International Business, Joan received her Bachelor’s degree from New York University and studied interior design at Parson’s School of Design in New York. She has also acquired years of experience as an international marketer and general management executive with Estee Lauder, Revlon, and Young & Rubicam in Europe.
