Prehistoric Stoneworks Ltd. was founded by two entrepreneurs Julian Hlywa and Deepak Paradkar while traveling in Southeast Asia in 2014. Deep in the jungle they discovered an amazing product that was virtually unseen in any market, art, or design store. Neither had ever seen petrified wood as exquisite as in South East Asia. Heavy in volcanic activity thousands and even millions of years ago, the colour and grain of the petrified wood from this region was beyond belief. These unique art pieces are so rare that 10 years from now the product will only be seen in museums, national parks and the homes of a few private collectors. Most of the petrified wood forests which are above ground are currently government protected national parks.
