Jon and his team did a superb job remodeling our master bath and master bedroom. They were dependable and efficient. They helped us with designs and updgrades that made the bathroom exceed our expectations. Jon has an excellent eye for detail and added many small touches that made a lot of difference. He also made some upgrades to our master bedroom so that it would be equally as beautiful as our new bathroom. He did a very thorough job of touching items up after everything was done. I would highly recommend him for any remodel that you have in mind because of his professionalism and high standards.

Our shower stall was outdated and dark. Jon and Ruben removed a couple of short walls on the entry side to open everything up. Also removed was a concrete shower pan, which increased the height of the shower stall. A new led light was installed too which brightened up the whole space. Diligent. Meticulous. Good at finding solutions. Can’t wait to have them renovate my hall bathroom!

I had a great experience working with Jon and his team. We have a rather small master bathroom, with a mostly unused bathtub and a small shower. Jon had many great recommendations that turned out very well. They converted the tub space into an amazing shower, and the old shower space was converted into a linens closet. I have a house on the market but the kitchen backsplash was too busy. I had scheduled another company to install the new backsplash but the tile guy injured his back and they backed out at the last minute. In an emergency I contacted Jon who fit me into his schedule and did all the work himself working some late hours and at a comparable cost. Jon is a perfectionist and the backsplash turned out great. He took great care to shield the kitchen of from the rest of the house and put in a HEPA filter to keep dust from the demo from spreading through the house. I was able to have an open house within 12 hours of his completing the work because the kitchen was as clean as before the work began. I recommend Jon for your remodeling needs.

Very professional and helpful! We had a defective shower valve. The wall had to be cut into, the valve and shower faucets replaced. Then the tile wall had to be recreated. The plumber installed the valve but the rest of it was done byJon!!

Jon Joslin (Artisan Tile) installed a new countertop, sink and backsplash in our kitchen. His crew and Jon did a great job. The color match worked out well with our existing tile floors. It brightened up our kitchen space. Our master bath shower was also remodeled into a walk in with custom features. It completely changed the look of this space. Great job !

Because my work schedule was heavy and I had many friends with contractor horror stories, I had long put off the much needed bathroom renovations in our typical 1980’s one story ranch in Plano. One day a coworker was talking about his bath makeover and much he had enjoyed working with his contractor who had great ideas, stuck to his budget and followed through. It was Jon Jessup with Artisan Tile! Sounded Perfect for me! Soon we contracted with Jon to totally gut and redo the on-suite guest bath and the Jack and Jill bath my son used. The bathrooms were TERRIBLE from top to bottom. Carpet!!! Thankfully, Jon and his team supported me from beginning to end with great input and ideas on everything from tile to custom-building a vanity to exhaust fans with LED lighting and Blue Tooth (my son’s favorite part of the redo!!) to lighting placement to wall removal and grout colors and updated shaker doors for the building-ins and much more! Turns out doing two baths at once means making a lot of choices at once! But Jon was the perfect project partner kept me on track through the whole thing! He even saved the bathroom door from the wall-tear out in the Jack-and-Jill to replace a damaged door on one of the hall closets he had noticed. Anyway, we are finally done with the first two Transitional bathroom remodels, and we are beyond delighted! See before and afters below. Everyone LOVES them! As soon as I get my ideas in place for the last two, we’ll be calling Jon!

When I first set out looking for and interviewing different contractors for a bathroom remodel, I was a bit overwhelmed by the process. Lots to choose from and everyone brings a certain uniqueness and a different way of doing things. That being said, as soon as I met Jon with Artisan Tile I knew I had the right guy for the job. His thorough explanation of the entire process was professional and comforting. Jon was not the cheapest option nor should he be. The materials that he uses, the people he works with, and everything from quarantining the work area before they start to clean up once it’s all done is top notch. Jon is very up front and honest with you from the very beginning. I cannot stress the quality of work and high standards that Jon and his team hold themselves to. I could not find one tile that was not aligned with the others or that was set higher or lower than the rest. Our guest bath came out better than expected and we plan on using Artisan Tile again once we decide to do our master bath. This is also the first time I’ve hired a contractor and not had a second thought if I should have went another way. My wife and I are very satisfied and super pleased with the work that was done. I would definitely recommend Jon and his team and we look forward to using them again in the near future.

We used Artisan Tile for our bathroom remodel in our showroom. Jon and his team were professional and understood our wants and needs for the project. They were very efficient in getting the project done quickly, but made sure to pay attention to every detail. At the beginning of the project they covered the surrounding areas and made sure to tape, so nothing else would get damaged. At the end of the project they cleaned up everything and had it ready to use right away! Our bathroom ended up being beautiful and we have had so many compliments already.

Artisan Tile redid my shower after an unexpected plumbing repair was needed (shower pan leaking). Due to this being an unpleasant surprise, we needed to get the repairs done on a strict budget. Artisan Tile’s costs were very reasonable and Jon even went above what was agreed they would do by fixing the drywall in our bathroom that was damaged due to the leak. The work took about a week and a half. His crew was always very respectful and pleasant. And we love our new shower! Update 2/16/20 - well, unfortunately, I am updating this review to explain some of the issues we had with our shower after it was installed. A couple of months after the remodel (in January), I noticed tiles under the shower door were cracking and the grout was coming out. I took a picture and immediately noticed Jon and asked him if he could come by to take a look. He told me he couldn’t come by until next week which was fine and we set a date. On the day of, I hadn’t heard from him so I texted him to see if he would still come by and he told me that he had an emergency at a site and we would need to reschedule. We were finally able to get him out to take a look. Jon then said he needed to get in touch with his Schluter rep (the shower was a Schluter shower). A week went by, I never heard from Jon so I asked when someone would be back out. He said someone would be out that Thursday but then Thursday came and he cancelled again due to his crew having the flu. He told me he would follow up with me but never did so I reached out to him again and we finally set a date for repair. I specifically asked him how long repair would take and he told me 3-5 hours. Well, on the day of, Jon comes out by himself. He tears out the cracked tile and then tells me that he thinks the issue may be a leak behind the shower which is odd since they tore out our entire shower and replaced it. He cuts into our drywall to investigate but doesn’t see any leaking after running the shower for several minutes. He tells me he wants to come back in a couple of days and further investigate. Fine. Ok. He comes back in a couple of days. Still no evidence of leaking. He says that he needs to contact his Schluter rep. At this point, it’s been about a month since I notified him of the issue and since he first said he would contact that rep which I’m assuming he never did. I’ll also mention that I was 36 weeks pregnant at this point and could not put off dealing with this issue and Jon seemed like he was trying to put it off. He told me he didn’t know how long it would take to get this rep to come out and couldn’t give me a timeframe as to when they could actually repair the issue or even if they would. I tried to be understanding but I did tell him that it was imperative that we got this done before baby got here. I can’t have demolition and his crew coming in and out of the house with a newborn baby. Jon then talked about how it was an “inconvenience” to his crew as well. Jon is a nice guy, but that was the worst thing he could say at that moment. We paid thousands of dollars for this shower and there was something going wrong with it that was because of the work and/or product that he warrantied. I don’t need to hear about the inconvenience to you when we ask you to fix the issue and do it in a timely manner. That’s not something you say to a customer. Anyway, my husband gets involved at this point and Jon agreed to come out the next day to start the repair. Jon has a habit of overpromising and under delivering. He is frequently late or having some emergency come up where he can’t meet commitments. He doesn’t do this maliciously but it is incredibly frustrating. So he’s several hours late that first day but whatever at least the work is starting. Except now it’s supposed to take 3 days instead of 3-5 hours... but then it ends up taking even longer than that. On top of that, Jon or his crew cut out more of our drywall without talking to us first trying to find this alleged leak. After cutting out about a sheet of drywall, they finally acknowledge that there is no leak, that the cracking was due to installation error. I’m glad that he was able to finally be up front with us about that. But after Jon left I asked his crew who would be putting back the drywall. His crew said that they did not know how to put back the drywall. I texted Jon to ask him who said his crew would be the ones doing it. There was clearly some miscommunication between Jon and his crew and it took several calls and texts from my husband and myself before Jon came up the next day to reinstall the drywall. Anyway, hopefully the problem is fixed but what started out as a good experience with this company turned into an irritating and frustrating one.

Jon gave us a fair est, for replacing the values in two showers and one bathtub. he started and finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. he repaired the walls where they had to be opened up, painted and did a fantastic job cleaning up any mess. I would recommend his company to anyone.

Artisan Tile was was everything I was hoping to find in a contractor but was sure I'd never have the good luck to stumble on. Prompt, transparent, tidy, flexible, high-quality workmanship, and kind, I'll absolutely hire Jon and his team again. Our half bathroom tile looks AMAZING. Artisan Tile put arabesque porcelain tile on a wall behind a vanity, and black 10x24 on the floor. The tiles are all placed at the same width, the cuts are even and in intuitive places, and there is no unevenness or pinholes in the grout. It looks fantastic.

Jon gave my tired, old, brick fireplace a facelift. He covered the brick with a decorative glass and copper mosaic tile. For the hearth he used a neutral limestone. He cut out part of the mantle to showcase the tile. Since there wasn’t brick behind the mantle, he built a frame to mount the mosaic on so it would lie flush with tiles that were covering the brick below the mantle. He painted the brass fireplace doors with a high temperature, brown matte, spray paint. The doors look brand new. The mosaic tile has an intricate chevron pattern which required that he cut every piece and carefully match the tiles. This required serious attention to detail and superior craftsmanship. The result is a designer fireplace with a stylish flair. It is one of a kind and a focal point in my family room. It is stunningly gorgeous! This rivals any fireplace in a new custom home. Jon does exceptional work for a reasonable price. If a problem arises, he fixes it. He shows up as scheduled and completes the work in a timely manner. He protects the furniture in the room and cleans up the work area when he leaves. He even polished the glass in the fireplace doors. I will definitely hire him again for future projects and recommend him to family and friends. I had never met Jon before this project and this is an honest, unbiased opinion from an extremely pleased client.

Jon was very prompt in scheduling a time to come to my house and make repairs on the wall behind my shower before my shower repair could be completed. He was very prompt in showing up and courteous when he arrived. He told me what he was doing every step of the way and the cost of the repairs he was making. There was a leak under my kitchen flooring that I need repaired. The leak required 4 tiles be removed and replaced. Jon Joslin, owner of Artisan Tile, came out the very next morning after the leak repair and expertly replaced my tiles, making great effort to match the grout on a 20 year old floor.
