Jay Home Specialist

It has been almost a year and Jay/Jose has not completed the checklist items from my modest kitchen renovation. He sent workers who did not understand English and often times when fixing one problem they caused another. My granite was delivered and installed with the wrong dimensions. My island is lacking 4 inches in depth which is A LOT. Many other issues with the granite installation exist. In fact, it was not even cleaned after the installation so now I not only have poorly matched seams but also glue on the surface. There is incomplete electrical work with exposed wiring under my cabinets that I have to look at everytime I sit down at the kitchen table. A door was installed backwards and so the lever style door knob is upside down. I sent certified mail with documentation and pictures to Jay/Jose after trying to contact him on his cell phone and through his main office number with no success. The mail was never accepted so the post office eventually sent it back to me. I chose this company because the price was right and Jay/jose seemed eager to get to work, but boy did things change. Scheduling was a nightmare. I never knew when workers were going to show up, if at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am writing a follow up review of Jay Home Specialist; my first review was written about 10 months ago after Jay completed kitchen remodeling job and painting my whole house. This current review is related to their warranty service. Their warranty service is great and trustworthy. They respond promptly, politely, and agree to perform warranty work. They come on time and do the job professionally. I have recommended them to three people, and I have not heard any complaints.

This is the second time I've used Jay's company to do work on my home. He did a great job renovating my kitchen last fall so I didn't hesitate to reach out to him again when I needed some work done to get my house ready to be put on the market. The work his team did recently included sanding and refinishing the hardwood floors, re painting most of the house and changing the exterior wood trim. I was very satisfied with the work his team did. Jay also has an extremely reasonable price that won't be beat so you're getting a great value for working with him.

Jay is a professional who cares about his work. I appreciated how he was always up front with me about changes or set backs that are inevitable on a project like mine. I would recommend working with Jay to my friends and family. The work was well done and I am very pleased with the final results.

I have utilized Jay Home Specialist for various projects to include roof replacement, porch repair, and chimney and wall repairs, and have been extremely happy with the service. They not only do things as requested, but are always available to provide advise when I'm unsure about a specific project. I highly recommend this company!
