We hired Panhandle Custom Homes to build our new house. We went to them with a plan, and their estimators tailored it to our needs/wants and budget. The building process went smoothly. Weather caused the most setbacks - the summer of 2015 was unusually rainy - but it took just six months to complete the house. When we changed or upgraded features of our plan, the extra charges were reasonable. We were able to do a few things ourselves (like painting) to save some money. A few of the home's features are clear-span engineered beams, LVT floors, tall kitchen cabinets, an oversized garage with eight-foot doors, a second-floor laundry room, a large front porch and back patio, and flat casing windows. Unfortunately we ran out out of nice weather to finish the landscaping, so that fifth star will come this spring.
