About Us

Creative Exteriors Landscape Design is a residential design firm servicing the East Bay in Northern California. Principal designer Susan Morrison’s design philosophy is simple: to create unique and sustainable gardens that match each client’s lifestyle. Susan has been designing gardens for over fifteen years and has extensive experience in landscape plans, planting design and lighting design. In addition to designing, she is the author of "The Less is More Garden: Big Ideas for Designing Your Small Yard" and is a popular and in-demand speaker. She appreciates clients who are open to having their designs photographed for inclusion in her published work or presentations. Her designs have been featured in numerous publications including the San Francisco Chronicle, American Gardener, Cottages and Bungalows and Fine Gardening, where she also contributes articles on design and plant selection.
