Kate has worked with us over several years on various projects, including designing a beautiful native plant garden around a stone patio. She really knows and loves native plants, is a great listener, has a terrific eye, is kind, flexible, and patient and is also a wonderful educator. We were always full of questions about native plants, being eager to learn, and Kate always responded very thoughtfully. She also did a great job of helping us visualize the outcome and showing us many alternatives. In addition, we have not only the completed projects, but ideas from Kate for the future when we feel ready to add in some new plants.

Kate has an excellent sense of design and uses space is fun and imaginative ways. She has intimate knowledge of native plants and their characteristics, having raised many of them from tiny seedlings. Plants are her passion and her energy and enthusiasm are contagious.
