Susan skillfully designed a robust, playful, colorful landscape for our very suburban-style lawn-and-shrubs yard in the North End. After years of apartment living, we bought a house and excitedly tore out the lawn, intending to create the welcoming, native, pollinator-friendly, front garden of our dreams. And quickly found ourselves in over our heads! Then we found Susan, who rescued us from a certain fate of mud puddles and unfinished weed patches. She spent plenty of time listening to our lofty goals and small budget then came back with a full, beautiful design and a photo selection of plant options. She sourced contractors and supplies to execute the vision, and was generous with follow-up and add-on questions as we actually go into planting. The yard is still a work in progress and we can not wait to see the design fully implemented. Working with Susan was a delightful exercise in exploring possibility, with the end result of a beautiful garden that, even unfinished, is already becoming a focal point and starting conversations with passers by and neighbours (exactly our hope). We have a relatively large, blank slate backyard in the North End that we were looking to turn in to an intimate entertaining oasis and Susan executed our vision perfectly. She melded my more organic aesthetic with my husbands love of geometry to create a design that feels like us. We had a few loose ideas in mind, but Susan provided valuable input, creative alternatives, and education about plantings and materials that took the concept to another level. The end result contains all of our eclectic wishes while remaining practical in both function and upkeep. We could not be more pleased with Susan and cannot wait to see the yard once her design is implemented.

We contacted Susan to help us enhance and refresh an existing landscape plan. We also wanted to create new landscape areas to provide screening and curb appeal near the street. Susan was a tremendous help! She listened carefully to our concerns, was open to our ideas and worked through many details of our prior landscaping experiences. She brought much needed expertise, ideas, patience, guidance and resources to our project. She diligently merged all necessary details and ideas to complete a new landscape design for us at a reasonable cost.

Susan is a pleasure! Knowledgeable, but even more importantly, listened to what we wanted. Susan did a great job of assessing the aesthetic of the interior of the house and managed to incorporate that vibe to our backyard. Susan also was a great advocate and collaborated at the most professional level with the landscape company that we hired to build our vision.

We highly recommend Gardendigs. Our goal was to eliminate our front lawn and Susan put together a low-maintenance, drought tolerant, deer resistant garden that has color and interest year round. We especially love our garden in winter when the mix of colors really pop against the backdrop of winter dreariness. Susan exceeded our expectations in creating a beautiful landscape with her attention to detail, good communication and timely follow through. We couldn't' be happier with how it turned out!

Although we were part way into a project, far enough to recognize how much we needed help, Susan came along side of us and provided outstanding counsel with great value. She helped us answer many of the questions, decide between options, and provided new ideas that really enhanced our design. Then with minimal extra cost, she provided a really useful concept drawing that sketched out a landscaping plan along with plant recommendations for a backyard with complex features. She also provided us with useful vendor links for plants, furniture, and landscaping structures.
