Think Green - Design | Build Landscape

We have used Think Green / Jon for a couple of major projects: Jon & team have provided outstanding results both times. Both projects involved landscaping; the second project included an update to our drip system. (Valves & new drip system installation). Our first project included removal of half of the existing concrete pool deck & replacing it with brick pavers, installation of a Gas BBQ as well as a Gas Fire Pit. Both projects included installing "Catch Basins" to collect rainwater from our downspouts, with drainage into the city of Phonex system; purpose; to prevent rainfall from damaging & eroding the yard and existing landscape. Many more details of the completed projects could be included. Simply said: the results of both projects have increased enjoyment of our yard! Jon & his construction team have improved our enjoyment of our property.

Think Green did a phenomenal job recreating our backyard space. Jon and his team did a great job listening to our needs and designing the space to incorporate everything we wanted. We got designs and quotes from several firms, and Think Green was far and above in terms of quality. George and the crew doing the work were fantastic! They showed up when they said they would, were knowledgeable, skilled and cleaned up every day before they left. We love our backyard now thanks to Think Green!

Jon Riep, our designer, was a pleasure to work with and stayed in contact throughout our project. He incorporated our basic ideas into a gorgeous desert oasis, including new plantings, arroyos, irrigation, and a sidewalk. His recommendations for the design and choices for plantings beautifully added color and texture to our home. He was extremely responsive to our questions and patient with our revisions. George, our project manager was great too – personable and knowledgeable, insuring that everything was done to meet our expectations. The crew of Raul, Luis and (another) Jonathan were amazing -- friendly and accommodating; working tirelessly to transform our yard. We actually missed them when they left! We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience with this team! We enjoy our home even more now and relish each new bloom! Jon Riep and his team at Think Green remodeled my courtyard and backyard. The work was outstanding and received so many compliments from friends, neighbors, and passersby. The courtyard has a more contemporary look, and differentiates my house with added curb appeal. The backyard has been transformed into a relaxing oasis with new hardscape, plants, and trees. I love both spaces and truly enjoy being outside all year round. Jon is EXCEPTIONAL at design. He captured exactly what I was looking for in both spaces. His installation team was also phenomenal. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat. From the initial contact to the final walk through, they were professional, accommodating, responsive and the end product is beautiful. I initially left messages with several landscape companies. Think Green made contact immediately. Only one other company even called me back - a week later! I worked most closely with Caitlin Johnson who was always receptive to my changes and tweaks and got back to me immediately. She even worked through the late evenings and weekends to meet a tight turnaround date so that our design plan could be reviewed by the HOA at the earliest opportunity. The work crew was respectful and professional and did great work. I have since called Caitlin to ask a few questions and she is just as responsive after the project's completion as she was throughout the process. I highly recommend this company for any landscape job you have. In fact, I plan to hire them for my backyard when the time is right.

I hired Think Green to extend a deck on the back of my pool, to provide for some shade over the area and to landscape the surrounding area. Caitlin came to my home, looked over the area and discussed the project with me. She made some suggestions which were helpful and asked some questions which caused me to rethink some things. In the end, the project as completed was exactly what I had in mind. The work was done promptly and the result was beautiful. I recommend Think Green unreservedly.

We moved from the midwest to a house in Paradise Valley with a large lot that was mostly crushed rock, and we had no idea what to do. We needed someone with a vision and a strong understanding of water-conscious landscape design, and Think Green came to the rescue. They designed and installed a low-maintenance backyard that blends beautifully with our quirky older home and the existing plantings. I'm still not sure how it happened, but somehow adding hills and a cabana and just the tiniest bit of grass made our yard seem twice as large and three times more livable, and we've loved spending the last year out there. We're happy to know that the new irrigation system and lighting will help minimize our environmental impact, and the plant selection has proven to be low-maintenance and perfectly suited for the environment. Think Green was just as considerate to our budget, and worked carefully to ensure that we got the maximum design impact and quality while working within our limits. We would not hesitate to contact them again, and are already planning what to do with the front yard.

I'd lost a number of plants in my backyard "meadow," and Landscape Architect Caity Johnson's knowledge of appropriate replacements was extremely valuable for this project. She also made several suggestions for the repair and extension of the drip system in the back yard. She listened to my ideas and concerns, and we communicated very well. Her crew was also great to work with. I will definitely call Think Green and request Caity when I need more work done. Thank you! Great job!

Think Green refreshed our existing desert landscaping, installed a new LED lighting system and new low emitter watering system. Caitlin Johnson was our landscape architect. She was very intuitive about what we hoped to achieve and patient in helping us formulate a plan. The end result is fabulous. The landscaping lighting is subtle but a knockout. Pricing was reasonable and the work was done within promised time frame. The installation crew was friendly and professional.

Think Green did an amazing job creating a design we love that fits our budget. They were willing to do the work in 2 phases so we could have what we wanted when we had the funds available. Our project was for a new home, so the backyard was a "blank canvas". Jon's design included a paver patio and walkways, a grassy area, lighting, and a patio cover that provides privacy and shade. We got trees and plants, as well as gravel for the yard. We liked Phase 1 so well, that when it was time for Phase 2 we added a paver path in the front of the house, with additional plants to camoflague the ugly utility boxes. Think Green did what they said they would do - everyone is professional and courteous and easy to deal with. We recommend them highly - and when we are ready to start Phase 3, we will work with them again.

Think Green recently updated the landscape of the center courtyard and dining room patio of our townhome. Think Green's designer, Caitlin Johnson, handled everything from design ideas to installation and the final result is fantastic. Whole process was seamless. These areas are central to our home and visible from all rooms, so provided a unique challenge. We are very happy with the outcome, and as a bonus, their work (and our house) was selected for a design reward by the Arizona Landscape Contractor's Association!

We hired Think Green to install lawn and drip irrigation for a large yard and well as installing sod and curbing in different areas. Originally, we had approached them about designing the entire landscape for the backyard, but put the project on hold because of a pending move. However, working with Caitlin, their architect, was very easy. She came up with a great design that we would have used had we decided to stay. They were professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend Think Green.

Think Green transformed my backyard flooding disaster into a lovely desert garden that can get by on very little water during the driest months of the year. The masonry work is lovely.
