Happy Ponds started as a business in 2004 to help people enjoy ponds and the sound of water in their homes. Whether you have an existing water feature that is not working for you, or you are thinking about a new one, Happy Ponds will work with you to create a joyful oasis. Happy Ponds is owned by Jan Schreier, founder and past president of the Minnesota Water Garden Society. Jan has been building, maintaining, and helping others better enjoy their water gardens for over 10 years. She started the business because too many contractors were stamping out ponds without necessarily understanding how to build them correctly and leaving the homeowners with a maintenance nightmare of leaks, algae, sickly plants or fish. She also knew through the people she met at the Minnesota Water Garden Society, that many people either wanted to do much of the work themselves or didn’t want their ponds to look like the standard pond kit, but didn’t know exactly what they were doing and wanted some expert help along the way. Located in Minnetonka, Minnesota, Happy Ponds can enhance your landscape with plants, trees, shrubs, stonework, and water features. Or, if you just want to enjoy what you have without any work, Happy Ponds can do all the cleaning, winterizing and maintenance for you.
