Lighting Design and Light Sales. Lighting is likely the most important finish element that your remodeled space or new home will need because how it is lit and with what will DEFINE HOW THE REST OF YOUR MONEY LOOKS, not to mention how the spaces will feel. I good lighting design is supposed to be a strong supporting cast member to the rest of your home, or your 'Stars' - your cabinets; walls and finish treatments; artwork; trusses, beamwork or other architectural features; etc - should all look wonderful if I've done my job correctly. The spaces will feel how you want them to, and will be functional and flexible. Good lighting isn't always about spending more, but it IS about spending what you have wisely to get the most mileage out of your lighting dollars. Lighting isn't just about pretty pieces hanging from the ceiling and the walls, and as regards recessed lighting, it just makes sense to know that it's in the RIGHT PLACE before you cut holes in your ceiling, rock, mud, texture, paint, etc. I well -conceived lighting plan is a simple thing to add to your list of construction 'To Do's', but it will make a world of difference in the finished space.
