Jim Kitchens started painting over three decades ago. He moved from Ohio to Virginia Beach back in 1988. He joined the painter’s union and learned all phases from sandblasting to painting large projects like structural steel tanks and bridges. Soon he was running large commercial and government painting jobs for several companies. After 10 years of this he decided to pursue his true passion of residential painting and started Jim’s Painting and Refinishing with his son in 2009. Very quickly they established a solid reputation for high quality work throughout Hampton Roads. Now Jim’s Painting and Refinishing is the painting contractor of choice for 5 large home builders in Southeast Virginia.
