Matz Painting & Wallcovering

It was 1965 and Sioux Falls was just coming into its own. With new roads and a booming agricultural community, the city was a place of opportunity for hardworking people with a dream. Dewayne Matz, an enterprising local painter, saw and seized this opportunity, establishing Matz Painting and Wallcovering. His younger brother Loren soon joined him and together they began to build a reputation for serving customer needs with attention to detail and unparalleled service, setting them far above their competition. Satisfied customers began to spread the word about the way Matz Painting & Wallcovering conducted their business with honesty and integrity, and their business grew and changed. Loren bought out Dewayne and continued to expand the business, hiring and rigorously training staff to ensure the Matz name would continue to be the standard by which contractors were measured. Loren’s son Brock joined the family business in 1997 as a trainee, learning the ropes from the ground up and becoming an important part of the leadership team.
