We felt like Phil really understood our preferences and our style when he rendered our initial concepts — the creative process at Shearon Design is one that honors the desires of the client first and foremost, not like some designers who do the same look for all their clients. Shearon Design helped put our wants into an aesthetically pleasing layout. The 3D rendering is something we looked at often as we were waiting for our house to be built. Phil was such a pleasure to work with. My husband and I both struggle with vision and creativity when it comes to design, so we were looking for inspiration for our backyard/guesthouse remodel. We sat down with Phil to give him a general idea of the things we like and overall style that we were hoping for. He delivered our renderings in a timely manner and we could not be happier with the design he came up with. Phil really took the time in the beginning to understand what we wanted and provided us with a stunning end result. The Shearon Design Collective does great work for a fair price. After a long search, I'm so glad we hired them! When we started the process, we had only a vague idea of how we wanted our front and backyards to look. Through the process of Phil sharing his designs and our critiquing them, we were able to get to a finished product that both my husband and I love! (He encouraged us to give honest feedback, saying that "almost no designer gets it 100% right the first time." ) We really couldn't have asked for anything more---he answered e-mails promptly, communicated clearly, gave us an accurate timeline for the project, and was respectful of our budget. His price was fair. In fact, we thought that he went above and beyond what he was contractually obligated to do ( i.e. he helped us find someone to execute the project, then met with him and my husband and I to answer any remaining questions. (He really wanted to make sure that the finished landscape would look exactly like the drawings.) In short, he worked with us to translate our half -formed ideas into a wonderful finished product. We strongly recommend him for any landscape project you're considering.

We completely ripped out and remodeled our backyard this year and we hired Phil and Shearon Design Collective to help us design everything. Not only did he do a perfect 3D model of what we designed originally, but he also gave feedback and improved on our original design significantly, then redesigned the 3D model. We’re so glad we hired him. I just moved into my house which has a pretty large backyard. The Shearon Design Collective team actually listened to what elements were important to my wife and I (we had spoken to another group previously who didnt), but best of all they were able to explain the logic behind their design elements which was great. The end result was an excellent 3d rendering and true job specs that we could use to shop contractors with and feel good that we could tackle the entire yard in phases, but maintain a cohesive design.

Phil was great to work with. When we first met with him, he asked purposeful questions and really listened to what we wanted to get out of our yard. Our experience with Phil has been great. We have a larger lot with a good size backyard and we wanted various areas for different items (play structure), backyard kitchen, fire pit, kids play area, etc. We had a new build so it was a blank canvas that we wanted separate areas but it to all flow together and be well thought out. We chose Phil to help design and it turned out better than we could have expected. We met with Phil multiple times throughout the process and took all of our likes/dislikes and incorporated them into the plan. He was extremely responsive and collaborative throughout the process. I would recommend Phil to all my friends and family in a heartbeat. As our project is being implemented I hear my wife get excited about the design and the look as it comes to life. Nothing but good things to say about Phil and his landscape design eye.
