I needed a major upgrade to my plumbing system in order to move my washer and update 60-year-old galvanized pipes in a ranch house with no basement. Every plumber I contacted declined the job as too complicated; when I mentioned that I was also getting an estimate from Colin Hutcheon of CKH Plumbing, each one said, "If anyone can do it, Colin can!"
Well, Colin could, and did. He acted as general contractor for a job that became even more involved than I had thought it would. He found an excellent carpenter, Steve Cominsky, to handle the demolition (the central part of my house was gutted!) and reconstruction. Jim Haskell handled the new concrete foundation. Colin re-did all the central plumbing for my kitchen, two baths, water heater, and re-located washer. He fixed an outdoor faucet that was prone to leaking and freezing. He helped me choose gorgeous new fixtures for my two completed renovated bathrooms, and updated my kitchen sink while he was at it.
Colin takes pride in his work. He made several recommendations for details that I hadn't originally considered, because he knew that they would add to my satisfaction with the finished project. He oversaw all aspects of the job, and responded immediately to my calls, texts, and emails. He finished the project in very good time, and made sure my husband and I were pleased with the result.
I feel very fortunate to have found Colin and Steve, and cannot recommend them highly enough!
