Afs Foundation & Waterproofing Specialists

I have had AFS come 6 times to fix their issues on ONE JOB. Each time I’ve had to take off work to allow them to do their thing. 6 times, and the funniest thing they are going to be scheduled to come back a 7th! -The first visit I paid a large amount to have 3 push piers installed at my residence. The installers, Alberto and crew changed locations of the piers by decision on the fly during install. I suppose that negates the need for the foundation specialist that originally came. Already on the first visit I’m raising an eyebrow. -For the second visit I had this crew concrete a large crack they opened up in the floor with a sledge hammer, and cut down some untidy threads they left long on the brackets poking out of the ground on the outside of the house. -3rd visit was when I noticed settling in the doors directly above the repair, and the brick mortar was cracking again after I had it redone. I called AFS to check the settling. They made reference marks on the wall and said they would return to see if it moved. They didn’t never came back. -4th visit approximately a year later I call to ask for someone to come look at the reference marks since no one ever did and they send a guy out. He says that based on the laser level that it looks like there is a slight drop but he feels like the reference marks are just wrong, he tries to convince me we should do reference marks again. I stand my ground and say we need to talk to a manager and stand behind their “reference system”. This is where I meet (via phone call) Brandon, the service manager. -5th visit. Brandon has agreed there is potentially an issue and agrees to add an additional push pier to spread the load and better support the area of wall in question. I’m happy. They install an additional pier next to the faulty one. During the installation the lovely crew finds that the initial pier that was installed wasn’t supported sufficiently, it never hit anything that would allow it to correct my issue from the very first visit. Unfortunately they only find this out at the end of the day so they are scheduled to return to fix it. -6th visit. AFS workers show up to asses why the initial pier isn’t supporting the foundation. They remove the support and 1 rod about 2ft in length is pulled out of the ground. After some issues we get to pressing in new rods to find load bearing strata. THEY INSTALLED APPROX 30 MORE FEET OF PIERS! that means they were approx 30 from where suppose to be. That means Alberto, one of the best I am told, didn’t do his job and installed 30+ feet short of what he needed to do to support my home. Instead he installed 2’. Okay, now some frustration sets in. -7th visit. Now they need to come and confirm the 2 remaining piers are hitting anything at all…
