Noble Design LLC

We looked for many months for a contractor for an extensive kitchen, bath renovation. SO happy we waited until we found the perfect one! David Thyne, Noble Design LLC, was so wonderful. We got exactly what I had designed and envisioned, but even better. His design knowledge and technical knowledge are terrific. We have a 100+ year old house and he knew how to work with all aspects of it. He is a true craftsman with incredible attention to detail. All of the people he brought in were great also! I would highly recommend him! All this after being without any water on our main level (kitchen, bath, laundry) for almost 4 months! David wanted to please us in every way. He worked many weekends and into the evenings to complete the project as quickly as possible. He was here everyday with plumbers, electricians, etc and was involved with every detail of the project. We removed 2 staircases, one back stairs and one to the basement and installed new basement steps under the main staircase. Removed 100 year old hand hewn beams that David "sliced" and made into shelves for our "coffee station". He used the old wood from the floor to made a top for the w/d which I skirted and we use as a bar. The bathroom was moved to where the laundry had been and the laundry moved as well. He built beautiful bookcases seamlessly into the wall on the other side of the kitchen. The opening to the kitchen from what was the dining room, now the "keeping room", was 3' wide and 6.5' high. We opened it up to 8' wide and 9' high. There were beams in the sunroom and former dining room that we matched in the kitchen. The previous owner of our house left doors in the basement that were intended for a church confessional. We found old saftey glass with chicken wire that we put in the crosses. David built the stove hood that I designed and my husband found iron fireplace inserts from a 1890's house that had been torn down a mile or so away that we used as a back splash. We had an iron shelf made to hide the seam of the 2 inserts. I didn't want a backsplash so David designed a beautiful wainscot detail for the walls that complimented the adjoining room. As you can tell we are extremely happy and proud of our project! I have included a few photos. The first one is the before...we have many more.
