Indian Summer Pool & Spa traces its beginnings to Fender Brothers Construction, which was founded in 1984 by brothers Doug and Craig Fender.
Known for their quality home remodeling and concrete work, it was a natural progression for them to enter the pool and spa design build arena in 1988 when the opportunity arose to build a pool for a current remodeling customer.
Doug Fender, the company's CEO and sales manager, has designed many award-winning pools, spas and outdoor living areas which incorporate todays desired features.
Along with Doug, his brother Craig Fender is also a seasoned builder with decades of experience as an artisan in all types of building including pool / spa construction.
Their natural skill and precision approach to construction results in meticulously executed projects with the skills of all personnel brought together to create a true, quality Backyard Living / Pool and or Spa combination.

IS installed a large spa after removing/filling a swimming pool and burying a large cistern in its place. Quite a project that took a lot planning, skill and patience. I am pleased with how it turned out.

I met Doug in a parking lot, stopped him in his Indian Summer van and we talked in the pouring rain about the problems our business was having with their pool. He came right over and did the measurements and that started the process of having a very professional job done to get our pool up and running. We now have a fully functional pool with an infinity edge...that works!

Very good service. They came when I needed them most. I had a horrific leak that was very labor intensive. They came, they saw and they fixed.
What most impressed me was that everyone knows what everyone else is doing and they know what they are doing. This is not how most pool places work in MO that I have experienced. There are a lot of sincere people who just can't get their act together. These guys are pros.

It's not a pool. It's a spa. I believe it was a 8' x 8' spa and 36” deep.
