RESILICA

Maybe a little crazy writing a review 12 years after our RESILICA work surface was fitted but we still LOVE it and it has not aged at all. Each time someone new comes to our house they comment on it and we tell them it is resin based with recycled glass. It has always been unique and we think beautiful. The colour we picked was bold 12 years ago and it took us ages to find the company we wanted to work with who could give us a sustainable solution (the tiny glass pieces still sparkle in the sunshine and keep it looking brand new). In 2022 people want more bright and different worksurfaces and care much more about the environment so I couldn't recommend RESILCA more. We do protect it from really hot pans but it doesn't mark (or cut) and is very hardwearing. It is very easy to keep clean and no special treatment is needed (well it hasn't had anything special done to if for 12 years and as the pictures below that I took today show it still looks amazing). When we bought it Gary and the team came and created the templates and the fitting was done quickly and easily - we love the fact with just one join (which you can't see) it looks like a continuous piece. We are now considering a slight kitchen redesign with a larger island and wont hesitate to work with the team again!

Every day I smile as I go into my new kitchen. Resilica's work top is the icing on the cake. It is beautiful, has all the right credentials as recycled glass, and does the job perfectly. The Resillica team were very efficient and there were no problems. I visited their premises as I was nearby and was fascinated by the process and chose the colours I wanted from a wonderful selection. Everything then ran smoothly to completion. I was kept informed as was my builder, they arrived each time promptly despite the long journey, firstly to template then to fit. The first thing visitors do, when they see my new kitchen, is stroke the worktop! Not the cheapest worktop but I don't see myself ever being bored with it or my losing my smile every morning.

Embarrassed that it has taken me this long to write a review of Resilica's amazing product and excellent service. I had been planning a kitchen update for quite some time and having seen the option of recycled glass I was set on this as the worktop solution. I wanted to keep the overall scheme simple and light and so chose to go with white cabinets. In order to offset the sterility of the white I wanted to add a good splash of colour and contacted Gary with a request for tutti frutti worktop. Gary instantly responded with images showing pretty much exactly what I was looking for, so we booked it in. Custom ordered worktops are obviously going to take time, but they were so worth the wait and Gary's fitting was perfect!! Really couldn't be happier.

I first saw RESILICA's work in the ladies loo of Sissinghurst cafe, and was blown away. The National Trust could not remember who had done the work, but eventually I tracked them down and went to visit them at their factory. I got to chose exactly the mix of colours of glass shards and resin I wanted. Everyone who has seen the resulting counter tops has raved about them. Happy happy customer.

When I found Resilica on Instagram I knew it was the kitchen worktop I wanted and we especially loved the idea it’s made using recycled glass. We visited Gary at his workshop in Hastings & he was incredibly patient with us, helping us choose the colour mix we wanted. As we live close to the sea, we wanted the worktop to be like the seaside and sea glass. We are thrilled with the result, the light coming through the windows reflects in the glass and we just love it. We are coming to the end of our house refurbishment and this Resilica worktop is definitely my favourite part of our remodelled house! Thank you Gary for an amazing job. We had a worktop for our home about 18 months ago and we were so impressed we got another recycled glass worktop from Gary for a holiday home and we are hugely pleased with the result. It looks really impressive and his service was excellent. The photos do not do the worktop justice in real life so I haven't included any but we would 100 % recommend Resilica. Adam

I first saw one of Gary's projects more than 10 years ago in an Eco house and loved how different it was. I now have a brilliant new kitchen with my own Resilica worktops and am loving the practicality and expecially the sparkle. Builders, kitchen fitters and friends have all said 'Wow' and asked for details. Gary was a pleasure to deal with and was very professional in coping with all the variations and delays.

Worktop looks amazing - everyone comments on it and loves the fact its made of recycled glass. The fitting was excellent. The only scary thing was having to provide the exact measurements to get it made but I got my builder to do it and it worked perfectly. I have had the worktop in situ for four months now and we have had no issues with it - it doesn't mark or scratch easily - even though its white and it still looks great. I would fully recommend.

I came across Resilica's kitchen worktops while commissioning a new kitchen from Pluck Kitchens in Brixton. I was instantly entranced by the product samples - Resilica is an incredibly beautiful, tactile product and its sustainability credentials were really important to us. I was so taken by Resilica, in fact, I travelled to Gary's Hastings workshop to discuss commissioning worktops and upstands. There I had the chance to speak with Gary in depth about his product, as well as working with him to create a glass colour "recipe" for the end product. The end result is stunning - I think the worktop is my favourite aspect of our new kitchen (and many objective observers agree). Looking at the worktop is a little like gazing into a rockpool - the different coloured and sized embedded glass pieces have different degrees of depth and reflective qualities. Who knew that watching a worktop could be so engaging! On top of this, Resilica is incredibly practical as a surface: easy to clean and maintain, perfect for rolling pastry, kneading bread etc. Gary's service and support is also superb - from start to finish, the commissioning and installation process was a real joy and (true to his word) he pulled out all the stops to have our project completed before Christmas. I cannot recommend Resilica highly enough - we are truly delighted with our worktop and very pleased to have met Gary.

We love our Resilica worktop. We we looking for an eco option and this fit the bill perfectly. We had fun choosing the colours, we went for a background resin colour a shade lighter than our cupboards and some fun coloured glass and it looks great. As a kitchen surface it continues to tick all the day-to-day boxes: hard wearing, easy to clean, brilliant at hiding the dirt thanks to the flecks of glass! Gary was great, a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We would highly recommend!

We couldn't be happier with our worktops. They're beautiful, highly practical and sustainable. Gary was a delight to work with.

We are delighted we chose Resilica to make our island worktop and splash back. Gary gave us excellent advice on finding the right combination of background colour and recycled glass mix to give the warm finish we were after. We love that it’s unique and that no quarrying was involved, we reused our old appliances and many units but Gary’s craftsmanship meant that he got the curve around the tap just right, despite the sink being an old one without the right technical data available. He was easy to work with, good communications and no sales pressure, highly recommended.
