Ashley Walkes Company did a terrible job and would never show up for any follow up appointment to fix the problem.

I hired New Windows of Houston to replace my windows that have been leaking from old age. I had water damage and found out the wind and sun had a huge factor in ageing my windows....not to mention the heat in the summer was overwhelming. I was very nervous about the whole process as I've heard horror stories, and was scared to trust anyone with this responsibly... windows are a big investment! I had no idea. Mr. Walkes made this overwhelming information simple and straight forward, and guided me with knowledge so I could make my own decisions with out seeming pushy. I so appreciated that! We love the windows, they are so beautiful and my husband loves the $$ we are saving in our electricity bill!! Everyone is happy!

Ashley Walkes sold me on that I was getting better quality, more efficient windows than those that were recently installed in my house prior to Harvey flooding. Clearly, I got taken by this company. His “expert” installer, Walter, didn’t contact me to measure my windows, and clearly trespassed to get his measurements, windows didn’t show up on time and no communication on why, after multiple calls I was told installation on Saturday if not raining. Saturday it was pouring down rain and I get a call that they were almost done installing 21 windows in less than 2 hours. Once I got to my house it was clear that I was dealing with unexperienced installers. Issues ranged from bent wind sashes/frames, windows that should have been tempered per code were not, so called steel check rail bowing down on all large windows, grid patterns in window not straight, seals at sills not matching up, window not opening or closing to the same position as adjacent window, screens torn and not seamed correctly, windows sagging to one side, black marks all over the windows, insufficient caulking around window, destroyed 3 of my shrubs, broke exterior brick on my house and overall all the windows had the wrong glass package. So overall, I went from flooded windows to bent/improperly installed windows that are less efficient and poorer quality. All 21 windows installed had some form of issue. Manufacturer, Alside came out and said it was all installation issues (the most issues they have ever seen in a single project) and had no interest in assisting me. It’s been close to 4 months now going back and forth with Ashley blaming the manufacturer, my general contractor and any one else for the issues that his “expert” installer caused. His 2nd installer came and removed and replaced one of the severely bent window with a new one of the same size to provide a point that his “expert” installer did not mis measured, or mis ordered all the windows, but that blow up in his face. Ashley has now stopped returning all my calls/texts. Poor communication from the start has lead to no communication at all. Don’t be left in the same situation and avoid this company even if you must pay more for a straight and efficient window.

I have known and dealt with Mr Walkes for some time now. The transaction and process were always so smooth and almost effortless. The quality is outstanding, and the interaction was personable and very attentive. Thank you.
