R.B.I. has been around awhile, and Ric Babcock gives his expert opinion quite freely. He doesn't carry everything, and mostly deals in high quality doors and windows. On the mountain, that's important. He also carries, or at least can get for you, all the hardware you might need.
R.B.I. doesn't have a big staff, so it's more of a personal experience you'll have with Ric. He has a small showroom that he can show several line of products. He spoke highly of a line of windows that he didn't carry, but the owner really wanted. It was for a project I was working on in Lake Arrowhead. We didn't get the windows from R.B.I., but we picked out a beautiful front door that was very unique, and the owner had to have it. The door was a Jen-Weld fiberglass beauty, and because of the extreme weather, especially on "the rim", it was perfect.
Ric also recommended a decking product, Evergrain, that we decided to go with. It was a manufactured material made of recycled material that was a lot denser than the well known "Trex" brand. It has held up well through the years. Ric was on time and very responsive to our needs on the project.
I'll always use Ric, for he has a wealth of knowledge on building materials.
