I discovered Carl plying his trade and talent to the intensive mill-work program I'd designed as the architect for the Mississippi Lake Cottage. Carl deftly constructed the stairs and cherry built-ins along with the casing and trim installation. Carl has a passion for fine furniture evidenced by a quartersawn oak bookshelf he crafted for us. We recently had the privilege of Carl completing a number of renovations in our home . My wife and I appreciate his work ethic, his considerate and respectful demeanor as well as his carpentry skill and problem solving abilities. We look forward to him doing more in our home and will highly recommend him to friends, family and clients.

We hired Arklan Housing to help design and renovate the kitchen and living area of our lake house. Carl provided excellent advice and suggestions to build on our ideas. Basement stairs were moved, walls were opened up to create a more open living space, new hardwood installed and the ceiling was raised as part of the project. The house is older and has many unique (unsquared) angles. Carl is very creative at working with these 'features' and his attention to quality and detail are very evident in the woodwork that was done. We are extremely satisfied with the results of the construction. It was a pleasure to work with Carl and we would highly recommend him.
