Who We Are My name is Joshua Carajanes and I am the owner of Great Harbors Home Services. In 2020, after my Nana passed away I had the fortunate opportunity of purchasing her home. I grew up in her home and had many fond memories there but the home needed a makeover. I am sure many of you will be familiar with this experience. Estimates for the work that differed by tens of thousand of dollars, unreliable contractors that wouldn't return my calls, and feeling like I could never afford to pay for what I wanted based on the massive prices I was getting. After months of frustration I took matters into my own hands and with the help of my friend Paul Donahue, the lead carpenter at Great Harbors Home Services, I began to learn the best way there is, by doing. We renovated my entire house interior and exterior and along the way discovered we both had the same passion for quality and making sure every task was completed with an absolute attention to detail. We also found that when a rare mistake was made we both without a doubt wanted to go back and make sure that the mistake was corrected no matter how difficult it was to fix. From that renovation my passion for carpentry and building emerged. After years of doing construction work while maintaining a full time position with the Department of Correction I decided to start Great Harbors Home Services in 2023. The name pays homage to the neighborhood where my first renovation took place and where my desire to provide people with a better contractor experience began. We look forward to serving the many wonderful communities of Cape Cod by always communicating with our customers and by putting as much care into your renovation as I did my own.
