Josh and the team at Rutherford Studio delivered excellent wood finish work and installation work for our project. While Ipe is certainly tricky to work with, Joshua completed the install of our custom millwork for 2 exterior decks, and things are holding up great. I couldn't recommend them enough and will certainly plan to work with them in the future. Good team, good attitude, and they pay careful attention to detail.

Joshua was recommended to us by our architects. We hired him for a few projects that were quite challenging. We ended up hiring him to build customized built in shelving and storage units throughout the house, a custom sofa that we helped design, a bench for the entryway, and he refinished our doors. His work is impeccable and he really takes pride in his craft. I would absolutely hire him again and recommend his work to anyone.

Hired Joshua for several projects. One involved building a large picnic table and decorative indoor table from our milled redwood tree. The other involved creating towel racks in silver maple and walnut for remodels of our bathrooms. He listed to our needs and design ideas patiently and incorporated them into his designs. Will continue to work with him as projects come up.

We had a fantastic experience working with Joshua. From design, to install and follow-through, it has been a great experience. We feel really honored to have his craftwork as centerpieces in our home. He has built us a bench, a fireplace mantel, some art frames. and our formal dining table. So a range of projects from small to large, and each piece is one of a kind and beautiful. Further, it feels good knowing that our pieces are from rescued/fallen local trees.
