It sounds like it is the original roofline from the houzz tour, but the kitchen was opened up and the beams were added. You can read more about the renovation here:

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to find a remodel that actually opened up a flat ceiling to make a cathedral ceiling. I'll keep looking.

You could post another question asking if anyone has experience or knows of any examples of going from a flat roof to a cathedral roof; maybe under "Design Dilemma" - then more people who may have more info for your will see your question and respond.

Sorry, just realized you might have been talking about the upholstered chairs! I'll keep my eye out for those; I don't know them off the top of my head.
