Excellence By Design, LLC I live in the midwest and I have open shelving. During the colder months with the furnace on the bowls, etc. collect more dust. It also depends on how often you intend on using them. My upper open shelves collect less dust than the lower but I am using these items daily so most of the time - dust is not an issue.

ctmommy2001 We have a similar table with deep apron that made it difficult to get a chair under so we had 4 inch wooden "boots" made to match the legs. It is not obvious that the legs were extended.

Yes, this is a similarly old sink and was salvaged by our client. I have not found one new that is quite this large. You may have luck looking at salvage stores like Vermont Salvage in White River Junction in Vermont.

The fridge is behind you and to the right from the vantage point of this image. There are a few more nooks - one for dish and drink storage tucked in under the stair, and one for microwave with more shelves and pantry items in low drawers. There is also a bookcase on the other side of the room for cookbooks. Needless to say, every inch of usable space was utilized well.

The backsplash is the same as the countertops - Danby Marble. This was purchased through Shaker Hill Granite Co. in Enfield VT. Danby Marble is the stone where most of the monuments in Washington D.C. are quarried from.

shamrock13 I found the Kohler K-12700-0 Gilford 30 x 22 Apron Front Wall Mount Self Rimming Kitchen Sink. They might offer other sizes. check efaucets.com. I checked reviews and they were good. Owners also recommended getting the bottom basin rack, a metal rack that sits in the bottom to protect the sink. I will definitely get one of those.

Smith & Vansant Architects PC We have had very good success with honed countertops. This particular counter is danby marble and one consideration which can't be overlooked is that acids, such as lemon juice will eat at the marble.

SPKCreative Abstract Art www.spkcreative.com Try a search under ink drawings, drawings, charcoal drawings, black and white illustrations or etchings because it looks like the art was created with ink or charcoal. It looks like a funky portrait with several hidden portraits, but as an abstract artist I tend to see images that others don't, so it could be something else entirely. It's a shame we can't zoom in on this image to look for a signature (my signature is usually very visible, but each artist is different), but maybe the architect or interior decorator can get the name from their client for you. The only other sites I can think of that might have something similar are ArtFido, Artspan, DeviantArt, Red Bubble or Saatchi--if something grabs your attention, ask the artist if they can create commissioned work for you, then negotiate the price. The artist should be able to give you a broad range of prices, but prepared to spend money (my lowest price is US$90.00, but the image shown here is nowhere near my style).
