To eliminate an inconsistent layout, we removed the wall dividing the dining room from the living room and added a polished brass and ebonized wood handrail to create a sweeping view into the living room. A blue velvet tufted sofa, crosshair hide stools from Wisteria, and a coffee table from HD Buttercup create a comfortable seating area.

Contemporary living room showcasing pops of purple accents against white and black. The walls are detailed with a black and white arabesque patterned wallpaper, while the fireplace features an all white textured ledger stone finished with bright art work. The sofa's subtle geometric pattern compliments the walls and the white leather Barcelona chairs. Recessed downlights, and daylight help brighten the room, while a spotlight is set on the fireplace to showcase the painting.

This dining room was the original home's living room. Notice the fire place? It's original - a new coat of paint has it looking brand new. It is one of the only rooms left from the original structure. The homeowners have their extended families nearby and often host large, informal dinners. They felt the large room was much better suited as their dining room, and opted to turn the original smaller dining room into a formal living room.
The wainscoting on the walls and coffered ceilings are new, but constructed to look original. The salvaged wood farmhouse table is the perfect gathering spot for their family and a nice contrast to the more formal touches like the silk window treatments and subdued color palette.

These seamed draperies are a great solution for two story windows. Adding fabric softens the space and having the second color on the bottom balances out the tall ceilings.
Layer the draperies with the woven wood roman shades for a gorgeous look.

Why Choose Us?
We have been in business since November 1998 and started in the window covering business by cleaning & repairing blinds. This gave us a unique perspective from most window covering dealers. We have always considered how well products hold up and which manufacturers stand behind their products the best. We let our clients know the benefits of more expensive products and give honest feedback. We take pride in showing alternative products to fit all budgets.
Our great testimonials on Angie’s List, Houzz.com and referrals have helped our company grow without the need for “conventional” advertising. Abda means ‘servant’. At Abda, we approach every customer with a servant’s attitude. This philosophy has helped our customers feel confident in their purchases and well-taken care of. Our number one focus is customer service and we believe in putting the customer’s needs first. We offer our clients an additional 2 year warranty on top of the manufacturer’s warranty and want each and every client to be completely happy with their purchase. We’ve been awarded the prestigious 2013 Angie’s List Super Service Award, an honor bestowed annually on approximately 5 percent of all the businesses rated on the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews. We’ve grown over the years and have added more team members to our company and we’re very excited at the direction our company is going.

This custom home was thoughtfully designed for a young, active family in the heart of wine country. Designed to address the clients’ desire for indoor / outdoor living, the home embraces its surroundings and is sited to take full advantage of the panoramic views and outdoor entertaining spaces. The interior space of the three bedroom, 2.5 bath home is divided into three distinct zones: a public living area; a two bedroom suite; and a separate master suite, which includes an art studio. Casually relaxed, yet startlingly original, the structure gains impact through the sometimes surprising choice of materials, which include field stone, integral concrete floors, glass walls, Honduras mahogany veneers and a copper clad central fireplace. This house showcases the best of modern design while becoming an integral part of its spectacular setting.

Living Room-Sophisticated Salon
The living room has been transformed into a Sophisticated Salon suited to reading and reflection, intimate dinners and cocktail parties. A seductive suede daybed and tailored silk and denim drapery panels usher in the new age of elegance
Jane extended the visual height of the French Doors in the living room by topping them with half-round mirrors. A large rose-color ottoman radiates warmth
The furnishings used for this living room include a daybed, upholstered chairs, a sleek banquette with dining table, a bench, ceramic stools and an upholstered ottoman ... but no sofa anywhere. The designer wrote in her description that the living room has been transformed into a "sophisticated salon suited to reading and reflection, intimate dinners and cocktail parties." I'm a big fan of furnishing a room to support the way you want to live in it.
