Hi there! I would not go with a glass top table - at the best times, they look and sound cold. The only setting where they seem to work is in a sunroom!

I would go with an oval table, or maybe rectangular. The table should follow the dimensions of the space which in your case appears to be rectangular. Oval is nice because you don't have sharp edges to navigate around when coming through the patio doors to the kitchen.

I picture a simple, farmhouse style in here - like the table below, from Ballard Designs. I could also see a trestle table, or other country style, working as it looks as if you are leaning slightly toward a modern country look (star motif on wall)?

I could see a zinc-top table looking really pretty here.
