I, too, am 5' tall, and finding furniture to fit is really hard. The best furniture for my short legs is made by Ekornes, the Norwegian company that makes chairs and sofas in different sizes. In the small size, my legs bend at the knees, and my feet rest on the floor. The furniture is expensive, but worth every penny. I buy a larger size for my husband and the small one for me.

I'm having back issues and I think part of it is having to scrunch my legs up on a sofa or chair to keep them from dangling in space. My torso is always twisted in some position that is not natural. I would love to find a chair that's comfortable that would allow me to have my feet on the floor.
