Countertop edge design

I am having an island countertop made of wood with ogee edge detail. The perimeter counters are marble and I'm wondering if going with a simpler edge detail such as pencil or half bullnose rather than the ogee for the perimeter would be a good choice.....or keep it consistent throughout the kitchen.

This is definitely a personal preference. Either way it will look beautiful. Having an ogee edge will just give it a little more of a fancier look.

i think going with a simpler edge for the marble is what i would do, marble is already pretty enough and with the wood having the ogee edge i think it would be balanced nicely
