Can I put a home theater in a space that is 12'x12'?

I agree with Dytecture, it will be tight, you can make a small one for a few people, that's about it.

I just did a design for a customer 3 level 4 seats per level, some built-ins for video components and some counter space.
Here is the layout to give you an idea.

You could design something in a space such as that. All determined on your scope and budget. We are technology design firm and do several theater projects per year. Recommend looking into local AV professionals or a design/consulting firm for your needs.
