How did you achive the thick look of the marble on the island

    ....the edges are mitered and that is a waterfall effect on either side of the island (where the marble falls off the sides.....lovely)

    ...apologies but you must ask Melissa Miranda Interior Design as this one is her project....but I would think that the slabs are 1/2" thick.....if you miter the edges and corners....it appears if the slab is 2" - 3" thick....the fooling of the eye is the trick.

    All mitered edges....lots of labor in that...
