what color hardwood goes with natural maple cabinets

I have natural maple cabinets plus lots of light natural wood furniture. I want to replace flooring with hardwood throughout. what color makes sense?

A lot of times it is best to use a stain on the floors that contrasts with but compliments the other wood elements in a space. If you have light colored cabinets and furniture a darker stained wood floor would work well. The specific tones of the wood will play a role as well... red tones versus yellow or orange. Good Luck!
