What are the purple shrubs next to the euphorbia?

    Hi genji,

    The purple leaved perennials are Cimicifuga simplex 'Hills Black Beauty'. Another cultivar I like is 'Brunette'. It's a great late blooming perennial with white scented flowers and the foliage looks great even before it blooms. It can take quite a bit of shade but the leaves stay nice and dark if it gets about half of a day sunlight. It's a 4' tall plant but stays nice and narrow (2-21/2' wide).
