Thermofoil, lacquer, or paint? Best choice for high gloss look?

Pros and cons of these three ways to achieve a modern, high gloss look on flat panel kitchen cabinets: quality Thermofoil, Lacquer, or Paint. Which method do you recommend. We live in an active household with kids and have an eat-in kitchen. We are doing an accent pantry wall in high gloss white, flat panel. Walnut Wood cabinets will be near the stove and cook prep area. Thanks

A quality thermofoil would be what I would recommend. There are many cabinet manufacturers out there today who produce a great high gloss laminate cabinet. I say laminate because most thermofoils are a matte finish so if you are looking at a high gloss, you will probably be looking at a high gloss laminate. Some even have an acrylic layer meaning you will have a deeper coat of a repairable acrylic coating to work with should the cabinet get damaged in any way over time (easily repairable).
