Cost to build in Denver

Hi,
My husband and I are interested in a piece of unimproved land in Denver. The land is within the city, so would have access to sewer, water, electric, etc. what I'm wondering is how much the actual cost to build would be - plans, permits, grading, basically everything. I have no idea, we've never done something like this before so if we pay 300k for the land and want to build a house like this or similar with nice, but not high end, finishes, how much would the total cost be - or a range of prices. We aren't even sure if it's within our budget (maximum $650k). Thanks!

http://www.building-cost.net/CornersType.asp. That's not really a custom house budget. Tract house, maybe. You are in a high COL location.

$350,000 for this house (assuming you are paying $300,000 for the lot) would not be reasonable within Denver. If you look at the suburbs, you can probably buy your property for considerably less. If you choose to do after sale items like air conditioning and upscale items, plus doing some work yourself after sale, you can make it happen. Great floor plan.
