any non-purchased ways to acidify soil?

I'm wondering if there's anything like ashes but the opposite, in other words, a way to lower the pH of soil using the kind of things that would already be available on various farms. And a related question: could whey from cheese making be a good fertilizer for blueberries? I know bacteria acidify things like fermented pickles, milk for cheese making, sauerkraut, etc. Could I "pickle" (ensilage) any kind of vegetative waste to manufacture an acidic amendment? Can bacteria be used as with fermented pickles, etc. to make acid amendments to acidify soil?
